While watching Revolutions for the 400th time yesterday, I noticed that the 'gold' of the "Real World' is actually more of an amber colour.
This made me realise that perhaps the 'Real World' is infact a giant orange filled with a glutinous substance which is also transparent, so you can walk through it.
I also spotted a green flash in the bottom right hand corner of the screen during the first mili-second of the 3rd minute in the second hour. It made me think that perhaps Trinity is Neo's Dad and that there's some kind of weird, reverse Oedipus complex running through the films, because Morpheus is obviously Neo's lover in bondage.
You thoughts, please...

I think we are both insane, but the only difference between us is that you live in Taiwan and have eaten one to many oranges.

I think that most people won't get your point, but I do, and for once I'm in agreement.

While I don't immediately agree, I do understand the concept you are getting at, and it is certainly something to consider. But it will take some thought. I don't think it's necessarily that open and shut.

Hmmm...makes sense especially with the bondage themes running throughout the movies. However, where does the cookie theory resolve itself into this? I have been theorizing and wondering about what was meant with the "cookies need love too" themes in M3. If cookies need love to, then how is showing love expressed in eating them? Eating a cookie (as in M1) would destroy it, not show it love. So what does it all mean? Could the orange coloring in those first scenes be a mango filling in the cookies? Maybe the Matrix is really in a cookie? The war is really a metaphore for cookies revolting against a system where they are slaves to be eaten? Thoughts?
Dang...now I am hungry. Where are those cookies I had lying around here...

it's still possible to consider the possibility of a MWAMWAOWAC, the matrix within a matrix within an orange within a cookie.

It's just symbolic of another type of 'eating' :P

It's interesting that you highlight the symbolism in reference to 'eating' in the Matrix (of course, I am referring to the films, not the matrix itself).
The oracle is surely relating the act of eating cookies to the act of love itself. Not in a physical sense, but rather an emotional and almost metaphysical sense. That she states that cookies need love, makes me ponder whether she is subtly referring to the next level in AI...Cookie Consciousness, or CC to those in need of acronyms (ACRs).
To my mind, it seems rather strange that when in the matrix, the only type of food consumed by our heroes is the cookie kind. Perhaps, therfore we are witnessing the oblique referencing to the real Matrix...an elaborate maze of never ending cookies, within cookies. Indeed, if we return to the source of all cookies...the proverbial mixing bowl, as it were...we should notice the 'revolutions' needed to create a delicious cookie. The cyclic nature of their creation is perhaps the real truth behind the title of the third film.
In this light, I retract all my diatribes against the quality of the third film, and replace them with whole-hearted salutes and gestures of great brilliance. Only us enlightened few can now understand the matrix as it is meant to be understood. I thank myself for creating ths thread.
As a post note...I'm a reasonable guy, so if anyone feels the need to poke holes into the dough of this theory and corrupt the quality of the mix, please feel free to do so...
It's a free world, but not for long...The Cookies Are Coming.

Well, the other edible things in the movie are: cake, tasty wheat goop, and candy. Did I leave anything out?
