"Rumor: Got an e-mail the other day that had some interesting information for Animatrix fans. Jack Turner sent us this information regarding a possible sequel to the Animatrix, heading to theatres:


Sorry I didn't send this in sooner but oh well: I was in my local cinema ready to watch Revolutions. There was a guy walking around with a clipboard. I had no clue what he was doing. Later that night I went to see it again, and he was there walking around with his clipboard scribbling notes. Afterwards, I asked him what he was doing and he said that he was from WB and was marking various audience reaction to both the movie and the Punisher trailer. He said that there is an Animatrix 2 in the works and WB is considering having it on the big screen. He didn't say anything about a release date just that it was coming soon."

Animatrix is the best Matrix movie. They explain everything so good and the animations are so cool.

I disagree. The Animatrix is alright, but what it really is is just anime loosely based on the Matrix. Only the Second Rescainnse, Final flight of the Osiris (Best one), Kid's story, and a Detective story really had anything to do with the whole MATRIX theme. I mean sure, Beyond had the errors of the Matrix, but alot of them were really pointless. I think FIRST MATRIX IS THE BEST!! Then it got progressively worse, second was alright, and then the third was possibly one of the worst movies that i've actually liked.

what you saying... almost every part told something about the matrix.. only Program was pointless.. and A Detective Story told us about how people got 2 know about the Matrix.

I thought the Animatrix was coming out in the cinema, not Animatrix 2, but I might be mistaken in this. Personally i'd like another animated episode like "Final flight of the Osiris".

I just don't think they'll be doing an aninatrix 2: It would cost too much and make too little money..

i do think that if there will be a animatrix 2 that it will come out, but i'm not so sure if it will come out on the big screen

www.animatrix2.com doesn't excist yet... And I'm not seeing any kind of new on the Animatrix site... Could anyone post a link with the official announcement (or any announcement for that matter)?
