Just wanted to point out how similiar Mr. Anderson's Boss is to Agent Smith. Same hair style, same word usage, and same reference as Mr. Anderson. Just different suit and no sunglasses. Anyone want to comment on this?

Well he was referred to as "Mr. Anderson" by his boss, because he WAS "mr. anderson" in the matrix at his workplace. That was his given name in the matrix. Yeah though, lol, the boss guy does talk like agent smith does. Pretty funny actually.

Yes, but than these two are very similar characters, both posses power, and server a greater good/evil. And both have serious problems with Neo.
Anyway they left out a scen short after this, goes something like this.
Neo returns to his office. A tall guy askes him what the boss wanted. Neo tells him he'll be fired if he is late again.
Tall guy: "I guess this is goodbye than!"
I loved it, they should have left it in...

I to saw the resemblence of smith and neo's boss.
the reason why his boss say's Mr anderson (like smith) is because at normal life he is mr anderson. and at night he goes under the hacker name NEO.

i think the Agents are made to look like your basic boring authority figure in a suit, receding hairline, pastey white skin. the boss at Metacortex is also your basic boring authority figure in a suit, etc.
i don't think the they are connected. i think it's kind of a commentary on the working stiffs of the world.

HomoUniversalis,
I sure hope that was sarcasm about Neo's boss being a program.... everything we believe in is a program!!! (theoritically) What I did like the most of the W Bros. writing of such a great trilogy was the fact that every little detail that the mere human type person would not catch, the facts that all my brothren' in this awesome domain of open speech "fore'ism" seem to be catching, seems to circle back to the fact that there is a "Matrix" which all answers can be answered. If there is something out of whack.....it's a de'ja-vu! It's easy to sit down and write a story.... but to make people revell in the aftermath of your story takes true genious!!! I cheer for the W. Bros. for the fact that they make our brains work harder than most schools studies do!!!! I would love the oppurtunity to sit in the "trainkeepers" station and just talk to those guys; I bet there is a lot more entertainment than we could ever put into one screen!!

I wasn't being sarcastic. I was simply trying to express my doubts about whether the Anderson's boss is a program. I really doubt this.. Why?
The whole point/purpose of the Matrix is to make humans into this (points at battery). So why would they add programs if these positions can also be filled by normal persons?
Are you trying to say that all powerfull men in the Matrix are programs? 'Cause if you are, I don't understand why the machines would do such a thing.
