i use to love the show, but recently it went to crap.
the jokes aren't funny, but rather offensive and the
characters don't have the same "life" they once had.

We just bought a simpson's guide to all the episodes...I love it! I get to remember all the jokes from the episodes, and it tell you what Bart writes on the chalkboards and the couch gags...lol I love the Simpson, and eventhough I usually don't watch T.V. that much, when I do it's them

I have always loved watching the Simpsons, but I've never been a "fan" because I never planned to watch it. Like if it was on, I loved to watch it. Its hilarious!

I must agree with that. And as said before the characters aren't the people they use to be. I liked it when Bob was trying to kill Bart, I liked it when Barney was a drunk, I liked it the way the characters were before the eighth season. And what up with Itchy and Scratchy? I loved those two, what the hell happened to them? And what ever happened with Barts bullies? They're so nice nowadays, what's with that? They haven't aged a single year and yet they have matured.
I'd say the only thing that's improved since the sixth or seventh season is the animation. I hope that the Halloween special is good.

Yup, I am totally obssesed with The Simpsons. They're undoubtably the best show on TV. I've never seen them in chronological order so I don't know whether it got worse or better but almost all the shows I've seen have been wonderful. I especially like the Sideshow Bob shows.
For some reason this ending sticks in my mind where somebody shouts, with no connection to the previous happenings of the show, "Does anybody here like short shorts?", and a crowd answers him "We like short shorts!" and then a song starts.
Does anybody remember this show and what preceded this bizzare incident?
