Well, here we go...
Firstly you need either Animation Shop 2 or 3.. Then you need Virtual Dub... And last but not least, WinMPG Video Converter. These three programs are essential.. Then you need to know how to use them.. Quite simple..
Animation Shop 3:
1. Open the file up with "Open file" (found in "File" up in the top left hand corner..
2. You should now see the frames which make up the avatar. This is called the "Sequence".. You will then be able to modify each individual frame of the avatar to how you want it.
To insert frames into the avatar your modifying.. Then right click on the very last frame and highlight "Insert frames", click "Add" and then find the folder you saved the frames/sequence to and select them all. Once in order (best to check before pressing ok) press ok and you'll go back onto the sequence screen (where you see the frames and then modify from there....
Virtual Dub:
You need to have converted the file you want to use into AVI using the WinMPG Video Converter.. Once done, go to "File" (top left hand corner).. "Open File" and select it... It should load it up and then it will come up. You can from here take out parts of the trailer/film that you are using.. To do this simply go to the starting of what you want to take out (example: If I wanted to take out a part where Neo walks in with Trinity in M1 with the bag then I'd want to go to the start of it).. Then go to "Edit" (top) and select "Set selection start" and then after that you need to go to the end (where you want the avatar to finish) and go to "Edit" again and select "Set selection end"... After successfully doing that, you should see a blue bar under the film pictures (there are two).. If you see this then go to "Save as AVI" and type in what you want to name it as and where you want to put it. You can also save parts of the film as "sequences" so that you can use Animation Shop 3 and import those sequences into the avatar your modifying.
Note: To put as sequences you must firstly give it a name and make a folder to put it in before hand (example: I'd make a folder before hand.. Do all of the the above (under Virtual Dub) and then select "Save image sequence" and give it a name and then browse and find that folder, double click on it and then save it into that folder.. If you get that..
WinMPG Video Converter:
1. Open it up
2. You should see some options and one called "All to AVI".. Click that..
3. Browse to find the file you want to convert and then once done press "Convert" and it should start converting it into "Microsoft Video" format.. You must convert it to AVI in order to be able to load it up with Virtual Dub...
