I just rewatched The Second Renaissance (TSR), and I don't know if it's all true. I've heard spoilers from Revolutions that make me think maybe it's a lie created by the machines to fulfill the prophecy, here's my convictions:

1) 01 (the machine city) was supposed to be destroyed according to TSR, but exists in Revolutions.
2) The humans blacked out the sky (I don't know if they meant for it to be permanent) and in Revolutions there are pictures of a blue sky as well as spoilers saying that the sky is magically blue again.
3) Humans were forced into bondage by the machines in TSR, but I've read in spoilers that humans chose that (for what reason? I don't know).
4) the whole episode TSR is accessed through the Zion mainframe archives, so it's a file. It could be a file that the machines created to tell humans the story that the machines want them to know in order to fulfill the prophecy.

This is all just an idea, but feel free to comment/criticize.

Okay, ill try and make you understand how i think it is not a lie:

1. I don't remember 01 being destroyed, but if it was, the machines could obviously re-build it, possibly make it even bigger (humans are out of the way)

2. I haven't seen a trailer or anything for Revolutions, but, maybe what you saw was actually The Matrix, a dream, the sky has reverted back from black to blue, parts of the sky weren't blackened or the machines 'un-blackened' it.

3. The machines told the humans to choose it, maybe some did, im pretty sure most humans wouldn't...

4. Or maybe.. just maybe, its an archive!

Thanks for disproving my theory. Seriously, though, I don't believe the spoilers. I know I'm missing too much information to come to any conclusions. I read in a spoiler (which may not be true) that TSR was a lie and that the ruler of the machines states this, so I thought to look for evidence of this. I'll be glad if none of the spoilers mentioned are true, because I'd like to be suprised.

Yeah, turns out The Matrix: Revolutions is just Star Wars with Neo, Trinity and Morpheus edited on instead of Luke, Darth Vader and Princess Leiah MEH!

ok, now uve come this far.....the sky isnt really scorched, it is simply there to convince the escaped humans tht it is, the machines are using control, the machines dont even need the humans to survive, theyre just controlling them, studying them!!

Maybe the mankind HAD TO bound itself to the Matirx just to save their life. After the atomic wars and stuff the Earth woul dbe a completely dead place and the only way to survive for humans would be plugging themselves to the matrix.

Then you'll say: "Then, how that Zion exists?" Well... first it is underground, and second... there have passed lots of years so some of the radiation would be gone.

the trailer shows a "hoovercraft" or whatever it's called, flying under a blue sky.. therefor, it can't be in the matrix, because those airplanes only exist "in the real world" ..

Well, turns out it wasn't a lie. So... I think I knew that it couldn't be, because I think before Revolutions came out I was expecting it to be like the first Matrix. Thinking back on that time, anyway. I thought that it would be like when Morpheus shows Neo the real world on the tv, like they would do that and say, "This is what really happened." But with the time frame of the third movie being 2 hours, I did doubt it.

when neo and trinity, fly over the machine bombs, they go true the black/blue clouds making the sentinels on them go off-line, and when they are above the clouds they see the sun and white and blue clouds. but when they go down again and are under the clouds the sky is black again.

in tsr the humans do fire nukes on machine city, but the machines are not affected by the radiation. and they just rebuild the building (making it of course: stronger, bigger and powerfuller)

Lol, well now that the third movie has come out, I bet you feel pretty stupid!! lol, sorry...
