I say that films should be set in different countries cuz after a while America gets boring.

Every film does not happen in America, I know at least 50+ films that have been made outside of the USA.

Don't become so anti-american I think it's not so important, where it takes place, is it?

totally agree, and notice: that quote is not from an american
*pf* there are other films I would complain more about in that point.
Shouldn't bother one much where the plot takes place as long as that plot is great.

Actually, all of the Matrix films were shot with a concept of cities with no names, and you never see any actual landmarks in either of the films to date.

For more information on this, watch The Matrix: Revisited. They talk a lot about the filming locations. (At least for M1)

i admit its not just the setting and as long as the plot is good it does not realy matter that much but i still think film makers should have some different setting for a change-just think about how mony films are set in America.

Well, i hope that Holywood has understand that globalisation works. This is how The Matrix came my favorite movie. e.g. Armaggedon left me with the impression that this is an American planet, so did Independence Day. I loved Contact.
