I went to go see The Departed yesterday and I saw the preview for this movie. It looks like it will be one of the best movies since The Matrix. I feel that the movie is going to be very good. The soundtrack sounds wonderful too. Not re-used from another movie.

It's the American remake of my most favouritest movie from Hong Kong.

It has Jack "Da Man" Nicholson.

The trailer had PINK FLIPPIN' FLOYD!

Through hell or high water, I WILL see this movie!

300 rocked the socks. I was interested in the movie mainly since I took Ancient Greek History in High School and learned a bit about Sparta....of course, being a movie, it did have some creative licence but it was really enjoyable.

The only thing I don't get is how people are seeing this movie as "racist"...the Persians being portrayed as dark and dirty and the 'monsters' apparently being black....they mustn't have paid attention to the movie, ALL of the humaniod monsters were white people, and most of the persion soldiers were in full facial and body armour or covered up. And its a MOVIE, so of course the persians are going to be portrayed as dark/bad, and the spartans as good.

BTW - best scene: Leonidas butt naked ;)
