Well, most of us here from the good ol' pile of feces the U.S. of A. know about the fake-Jamaican psychic "Miss Cleo" and the supposed "psychic powers" of her and many other people who make you pay for their services. Is it all just BS? Or can it really be possible to do such things as: see visions, manipulate physical items with your minds, or even separate the spirit from the body?

What do you think?

I've not had any experiences that make me feel strongly one way or the other. Although I am a big fan in the supernatural...I was brought up to believe that possession, spirits, psychics...those are real and from the devil! I'm not saying I'm a fan of the devil or that I necessarily believe in these things at this point in my life. I just think it's rational (and much more interesting) to keep an open mind.

Also, I'm non-skeptical enough to stay far, far away from the ouija board. Don't play with fire my momma always said.

Considering we only use roughly 5% of our brian at any one point, it would be interesting to see what you can do if you had more than 5% going. although i don't know if having a more powerful brain would allow you to manipulate objects outwith your body, maybe the vision thing would be possible, maybe not accurate but possible, i'e often had deja vu but experienceing what is happening in a dream for example i finished off a friends conversation because i had a dream of us talking about it. But i'm not saying my brain uses more than 5%. But if it did would we be able to o all those things?

The brain is a complex thing so it suppose its big secrets are yet to be revealed.

Okay, here's a list of what makes me think that psychic powers are feasible:

-One time I meditated for like 15 minutes and when I came out of it I drew my kitchen in such detail that you'd think I was a good artist (and I'm not) but when I tried to draw the same thing again, it came out really badly drawn and out of proportion, etc.

-More than once I've had a dream about something that might happen in my own life, and a month or so later it did happen. It freaked me out at the time, but later I realized that I was somehow doing some sort of, well, seeing the future if you want to call it that. I did this not of my own will, you see, but when I actually try to do such psychic things I usually hit a mental block of some kind and can't do it.

If you still wanna call this bull, fine, believe what you want. I still hold to my opinion.

Hmm.... personally I don't believe in things like that. I believe in coincidence - which I would say this deja-vus are - and I believe in destiny. But - and there is a big but - I believe that you have to live your life, to make your own decisions etc. otherwise you won't fullfil your destiny. You can't just lay down and wait for destiny to knock on your door (like in Matrix: Thomas gets trust in his role as Neo - The One and he doesn't really have to do anything). You have to make destiny happen.

Futhermore even so I say that I believe in destiny I am also of the opinion that maybe we only can't understand the things happening yet. I mean... like the thing with the Egypt and the plagues of Moses. The see went blood-red... today we know that there was so much copper in the water that the water just seemed bloody for the people of that time.
I think destiny is like that... we just can't explain the things that are happening but maybe in some hundred years (of maybe even less) we will be able to.
