Well i know this works on msn messenger, if you copy/paste what he says in you're box using a normal font it will translate the letters for you, you could even correct his typo and look even better than him at his own tounge :P

Ahlan too is hello. Besides that most of the Arabic I know is swear words, and I'm not sure how useful they could come in conversation, unless you got into a real big fight with him or something.

Speak Arabic? Of course I can speak Arabic. Understanding what it means is a totally different thing though.
