I'm sure none of you care about this because most of you are crazy foreign bastards who don't understand the simple pleasures of American Baseball, but I'm fucking ecstatic. I've always been a Sox fan, having been born in Chicago. Usually it's the Cubs everyone cares about, but they've been put in their place this year.

What an amazing post season. I've watched all the games, and each one was GREAT baseball. Countless records were broken and amazing plays and calls were made. A grand slam by Konerko. An out that turned into a game-winning run by Pierzynski. Scotty Po - the first player to hit his first home run in the World Series. Countless stolen bases. An amazing catch in the stands by Uribe. The execution of the single longest game in World Series history. The Sox - the only away team to win a Series game that went into extra innings. And finally, after 88 fucking years, the White Sox won the World Series with an 8 game post season winning streak, sweeping the Astros to just number 2!

The windows of the buildings in downtown Chicago lit up to spell out "SOX." Free pizza was passed out, people were jumping on parked cars, hordes of individuals flooded the streets and blocked traffic as everyone rushed to congregrate at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago.

It's time to go to Chicago and partay.

While I cant say that I really care about either team, it was a decent series. Congrats to your team for finally getting it done and for shitting all over those damn Cubs fans. I really dislike them, and look forward to another season of listening to them cry.

There is actually someone else here who is a Sox fan! Yippee! This is one of the first World Series I've consistently watched for a long time. Scotty Po is my hero! What a perfect post-season. As of next year I will be a Chicago resident, and on White Sox turf. Nothing could make my joy more complete.

Hey, now. I will proudly stand up and admit myself to be a Cubs fan.

Since they'll never be in the world series, I've taken to cheering for the Sox this time around, simply because they're as close as I'll ever get to my cubs making it that far.

What's so bad about cubs fans, really? You all are just jealous because we're OBVIOUSLY the most loyal fans out there... it's not about winning or losing, it's about love of...uh...losing.

I despise the Cubs... What's so freakin' great about Wrigley Field? The top half of the stadium is built on top of the bottom half, so if you're sitting in the bottom half, you can't see jack shit. That, and you have to piss in troughs.

The Sox parade was today... I'm so pissed that I'm not gonna be there till later tonight. You should see the crowd that's turned out... all of downtown is practically shutdown... if there isn't a building occupying some space, then it's a sea of people. Fucking amazing.

Where you going to college, Veradis? I may be going to Northwestern, UIC, or Loyola. If UW Madison doesn't offer me anything good, then I'll definitely be going to one of those three. I can't fucking wait to get back to the city!
