Ok, lads and lassies, here it is: the thread dedicated to upcoming movies. Post here information about any films you think look interesting, but you have to specify why it looks like such a good flick (or a bad one). Feel free to add links to trailers, cast, storyline, etc, just make sure you keep the thread discussion-targeted.

So this means that if a movie is already out it can't go in here? Maybe the title "upcoming" should be broadened. Just a thought....

No. Instead of posting stuff like I have done or what SB was doing about a new movie that is going to come out in the forum in the form of a new thread they can all go in here in the form of a new post. Any other movie you want to talk about can go in the forum. Its so simple.

Double-posting, deal with it.
This one goes out to Hitman...
20th Century Fox has hired Skip Woods (Swordfish) to adapt its feature version of videogame Hitman, with Vin Diesel toplining, says Variety.
The studio picked up the Eidos game franchise in June from producers Chuck Gordon and Adrian Askarieh. Diesel will executive produce and Daniel Alter will serve in a producing capacity.
The story centers on an international assassin, known as Agent 47, who works for a mysterious organization dubbed the Agency.
The trade adds that Fox is looking at Hitman as a potential franchise. The first three games in the "Hitman" franchise have sold more than 5 million units.
Woods also worked on the remake of Logan's Run at Warner Bros.
Eidos, which was recently acquired by Sci Games, is working on another sequel, "Hitman: Blood Money." Originally scheduled for the middle of this year, it has been pushed back to the winter.
As of right now it is slated for a 2007 release, but no other information is out there right now. I will add links for the trailer and other news when I can find it.
Im not really too interested in this flick as most video game based movies tend to destroy the game and suck massively, but I figure this is one that had to be posted for obvious reasons.

I dunno about that one, Vin seems kinda a strange casting for it. And yeah, most game-to-movie adaptations are lame. I'm surprised they haven't done Max Payne yet, and I really hope they don't.

I disagree with you on the casting of Diesel for this one NMN. I think he may step the movie up a bit so, it doesn't completely suck because, I do agree with you that most vid games made into movies suuuck. Dungeons and Dragons, Street Fighter, Super Mario Brothers, and that is just to name a few.

Mario brothers? That made a great movie!
Doom: now that looks terrible. I want to see a Wolfenstein 3D movie, but it needs to be computer-generated, and the people have to be massively pixellated. I'd gladly pay the $10 to see that.
Movie:
When's "Boondock II: All Saints Day" coming out? Last I heard, it was going to be last November. Now the site just says "2005".
Willem DaFoe isn't back for this movie, but the rest of the original cast (including Rocco) has returned.
Other than this, there's pretty much no information that I can find concerning the sequel (except for the given speculation by fans). What do you guys, think: should they even be doing a sequel to such a fantastic movie, especially when Willem DaFoe can't return? I just can't imagine the saints without Agent Smecker. Sorry.

Vin Diesel starring in Hitman? The only good thing is that it can't be any worse than xXx... Oh wait... That's horrible.
I have a feeling BDS2 is never going to come about. Months ago, Troy Duffy posted on the official forum that the deals have all been set and filming will begin later this year, but there hasn't been one update or shred of concrete info ever since that announcement.
I believe the movie can be done without Willem Dafoe. The thing that does scare me, though, is that there are some lead actresses in the casting. One of the great things about BSD is that there was absolutely no romantic storyline whatsoever. Adding a female lead may introduce such nonsense into the plot, and will most likely fuck things up.

Actually, I think Doom looks quite fun. The game is nothing spectacular, not rocket science, it's mainly just shooting up blood and guts, and that's what the movie looks like. Personally I think the Rock is a great choice for the main character, and it just looks like a fun romp of a video game. Not really a spectacular storyline, but hey, the video game didn't have that either.

I take it that you have never been ranked in the top 10 if that is your opinion of the game. If so please refrain from posting comments about how the game will translate to the big screen.
