Who here at MM is actually playing MxO?
I'm considering buying as I finally have enough money. However, a) if it sucks (like I've heard), and b) no one I know is playing it, I don't think I'll waste the money to buy it.
So, who's playing?

At the expense of sounding cliché, I don't know anyone either. The only people I know that are playing MORPGS are playing Guildwars, because that's free from monthly contribution (and thus a game I am considering).
The Matrix was cool because of its filosofical base, not it's merchandise.

*looks around sheepishly before raising her hand*
I'm not on for the summer, but I was playing when it came out through the end of May... It's not terrible; I enjoy it more than a lot of other RPG's, but that's mainly because 1.) I love the Matrix, and 2.) it -does- have a lot of flexibility, both in the gameplay and character design. It can always stand for improvement, but it's not bad, especially considering the current price of the game...

What is the current price? I'm thinking about getting it; I need something to fill up those long lazy days of summer. Ahh, glorious summer.

I got mine for $50 but I think it's lowered to $40 or $30. Can't remember. If I had internet at home (and a decent graphic card for that matter), I'd actually play it. Unitl then, it sits on the shelf with the rest of my collection.

The reason Guild Wars is free is because it isn't actually an MMP game. Though marketplaces & towns are massive, Missions/Quests are instanced to your party, meaning you only get to play them with a maximum of four people at a time. The mission server is hosted by the person with the strongest connection in your party. After you max out your character and finish the main story quests, there isn't much to do until the update is released (which you have to pay for). These updates are the only way to get new game content. It's a lot like Diablo 2, just with modern visuals and a little more features. Would be a little difficult to compare it to a game with a persistent world like WoW, SWG, or MXO.

Oie, I play MxO. Got a level 30 Zionist and a level 16 Merv on Recursion... so ya I've been playing basically all summer but now its starting to get repetative and boring. Also SOE has royally pissed me off... but even with all this I think I'm still going to keep playing I guess.
