I like older music, because most new music sucks. I guarantee you no one will remember Green Day, Jet, or Linkin Park in the next 5-10 years.

I like Lost Prophets, Crossfade, A Perfect Circle/Tool, and Incubus. Good stuff, Lost Prophets just have a new sound, very rare today, APC/Tool because Maynard just has a voice that gives you chills...it's utterly amazing, Incubus because of their type of music/Political views/Enviromental views, they just seem just like me.

I love Calibretto (before they broke up) because of the great messages they had in their lyrics and the how they could go back and forth between addressing serious subjects and being lighthearted and comical.
Madison Greene rocks because it's impossible to go to one of their concerts and not dance (and this is coming from the girl who can't/won't dance!).
Evanescence rocks because they use vocals to accentuate the music, whereas most bands use the music to merely accompany the vocals/lyrics. The lead singer really uses her voice as an instrument, and it's absolutely amazing.
The Beatles rock my face off. "One, two, three, four, can I have a little more? Five, six, seven eight nine, ten, I love you..."
hmm, that's all I can really think of now, but keep your eyes open for future edits.

well i agree with most of these... apart from evansesence... they seem a bit mainstreamy for my likings.. im a deftones, tool, korn,At the drive in,RATM,mars volta,SOAD,sound garden, sparta, kinda guy at the moment.. but i also have hooks in 60's 70's style rock like deep purple, led zeppelin, jimi hendrix, doors, grateful dead etc... i have tastes in hip hop like KRS1, Zach de la rocha's solo shit, cypress hill, bone thugs in harmony so i get alot of inspiration from many sources...

^ Not to start an arguement, as I agree with most of your selections, but not liking Evan cause they are mainstream but liking KoRn? Most fans of KoRn prior to Life Is... consider that a massive sell-out album that made them mainstream. Same thing with Green Day. But as I said, thats a decent list. I would have to add bands like Goldfinger, NOFX and Pennywise.

well to be perfectly acurate in saying what i like about korn, i just said the name because i couldnt be fucked saying the only thing about korn i listen to is jonathan davies. NOFX and pennywise are cool, but also evanesece were geared towards profiteering from their musical "sucess" from the get go

Well, seeing as how Green Day has been around for 15 or so years, I think that's a pretty good run, as opposed to bands like Eve 6 that had one or two hits and faded. I don't think GD sold out as much as some bands did, but I think Dookie will be their best CD, ever.
Anyways, I like Green Day, The Killers, Jimmy Eat World, The Beatles, Muse, Oasis, NOFX, Ben Folds and Ben Folds Five, Bad Religion, The Postal Service, 311 and The Offspring.
