Ok, due to the large amount of spam that has been posted in here, there are now a few guidelines that must be followed before posting in the Mission Area.
- None but those directly involved in a mission can post in an active mission thread. I know we all love to leave encouraging messages to active crew, however because a few have used it for one and two word replies, it has placed such a strain on some missions to the point where they have tapered off and have been left or aborted before finishing. No more. So from now on, leave the comments/encouragement in the crew lounge thread.
- A mission, once started, must be completed. This has to be adhered to. Otherwise people lose interest and tend to think it is ok to leave it for the long haul, and not pick it up again for some weeks, even a few months. For our RP mission forum to become successful and thrive, this must not happen anymore.
- Think quality before quantity. It is common sense, and something that should be taken into account not only in ships missions, but the rest of the forum (bar Babbling Stooges of course) so it makes sense to be even more mindful of it in here. Sure this room was designed for fun, however spam it was not.
- The length of a submission must be at least 500 words long. We have had several one or two sentence submissions by some members, while their fellow crewmates have been giving their all to pick up the slack, and in most cases been submitting over 1000 words to make up for it. From now on it won't be tolerated. Bare in mind we all have to work as a team here, and it is not fair on one who has been working hard to see another slip in the odd paragraph. Think of your fellow crew before you post. Which brings us onto this...
- All crew once informed a mission will commence, either by their captain or fellow crew, must submit a draft to their captain for comment/critique before it is posted by the writer. Please people, lets have a little checking in spell check then letting your captain proof read your work before it is submitted. You have after all been working hard at your piece so please, before submitting, work as a team and let your mates proof read it and run it through a spell checker. You know it makes sense.
- No Neo mode please people. This is our RP, not Enter the Matrix.
- All crew, regardless of where they are posted should remain active in offering assistance to other ship's Captains and crew. If you see a new mission, please feel free to PM the Captain and inquire if he/she would like another ship to join the RP! Remember, if in doubt shoot me a PM.
- IMPORTANT so I will clarify this one. No requests in the mission thread. The pm button is your friend so please us it.
These rules are subject to addition and/or change.
Thanks everyone, now let's see this room be the best it can be. Get writing. - UltimateTrinity
