In here all we do is blab about martial arts superstars, like Michelle Yeoh, Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, etc.
My favorite person is Jackie Chan. He invented the Kung fu comedy! Jet Li, for serious movies, though, is probably better. How many people have seen the One?

I thought "The One" was pretty good, but for my money it doesn't get any better than the Dragon himself. Come on man, you left out THE DRAGON himself, the biggest martial arts superstar ever, and one of the most widely recognized martial arts figures worldwide.

Sorry about that DPD. My short list was not meant to include every superstar there is. I just listed a few that came to mind. You're right. Bruce Lee was and is the greatest. But I actually have only ever seen one of his movies, and that was the Chinese Connection.

It's all good, I was just trying to get the legend his due. I recommend Return of the Dragon, as that's probably my favorite Bruce Lee movie. As far as I know, that's where the Mortal Kombat people got the idea for the Johnny Cage shadow kick.

I've never seen any of the Mortal Kombat movies, but they look pretty interesting. I myself am more of a Chan man.

What about Chow-Yun Fat??? He was absolutely brilliant in Crouching Tiger, plus there's no better out there for diving sideways in Slo-mo with two guns blazing.

Like I said, that list at the beginning was not meant to be comprehensive. I agree with you. He was amazing in Crouching Tiger. Where does he do the diving sideways in slomo? Is that in bulletproof monk? Is that a good movie, because I've kind of been wanting to see it.
Have any of you seen Hero? That movie is a masterpiece, though the ending was kind of sad.

He does it in pretty much every film he's in. Particularly famously in John Woo's classic Hard Boiled.

That's cool. I like movies that do that. It reminds me of Matrix. Is Bulletproof Monk worth a rental, though?

hmmm... dunno I've never seen it. But I dont think the idea of a Shaolin Monk trying to get along with a pair of teenagers is a good one.

I suppose, but it still looks like an okay movie. What I really like is Who Am I? Jackie Chan. You know, I've actually never seen Once Upon a Time in China?
