Maybe she's saying that there's no real reason for the Oracle to help them. After all, she doesn't really answer his question.

The Oracle has just confirmed that she is a program from the machine world, he can't understand why she would help the humans. Hence he asks "but why help us?" Or something like that lol.

She has stated her purpose is to unbalance the equation. That's why she's helping the humans, because helping them, helps her accomplish her task. She needs them and their resources and spirit to assist in the unbalancing of the equation. She's been pretty much on her own agenda since the beginning, it's all a system of control. Whatever the Architect does, she undoes. I believe being advanced A.I. and having a sense of self-awareness, her actions aren't totally autonomous and she does care a bit for the humans and their cause, but I also believe that theres alot she does because she's programmed to. So put simply, she helps them to help herself.
She was truthful in saying "the only way we can get there, is together". The only way Neo was able to correct the equation, was for Neo(humans) and Deus Ex Machina (machines/programs) to work together and finish the job.
