Here's the deal,
I'll be pre-ordering MxO very soon (the 15 of Sept to be exact) and this entitles me to be part of the Beta test.
I would like to see if anyone else from MM has pre-ordered or WILL pre-order the game and if so, if we can meet within it to beta test it together.
I was hoping we could post what we experience in the beta somewhere in the forum. Unless we are told not to of course.
Anyway, if anyone has anything to say please, either PM me or reply to this post.
You never know, if we play together in beta and they don't wipe the beta characters, we may be able to start a powerful crew or even a small clan.
Let's see what happens.

I'm not pre-ordering it, though I can tell you that you will most likely not be allowed to talk about what goes on in the game, due to the NDA. Also, they will wipe your character before the game's released... Or rather, if they don't, I'd be most surprised.

About talking about what is in the game, there are certain loopholes that are usually easy to find within the ULA of the Beta test because it's not T1 classification or anything like that.
I beta tested Lineage II and they didn't wipe the characters, so there's a possibility that they won't wipe these either, especially to attract people to pre-order the game.
But I guess I'll find out next wednesday

Really? No wipes there? Interesting. Every game I've seen wiped the characters after beta, whether it be for technical reasons or to make everything fair when the game is first released. And yeah, there's loopholes, but technically you aren't allowed. Still, rules are made to be broken. Yay!

I'm with you in hoping they won't be erasing the characters, but like TINM said, they probably will. Anyway, I guess I"ll be seeing you in the Matrix

So Psycik, you're in the Beta?
Or are you going to pre-order soon,
Anyone who's going to pre order or will b edoing it soon should let me know,
I intend on making a group of MM beta testers,
It'll be fun bug hunting in the Matrix ;)

There's always loopholes. I do so love those things. However please don't jepordise yourself or others who make it to the beta testing stage by announcing it here in MM's main rooms or any other site. Do it in other ways. I'd hate to see anyone get dropped. Good luck sweety, and to anyone else who makes it.

Come nov 18th, the closed beta will start and there will not be an NDA, it would be impossible to NDA that many people. Then 3 days before launch, there will be a complete wipe, and those that pre-ordered, will be able to enter their pre-order code and start a new character.

Well I canceled my order
It didn't live up to my expectations whatsoever, I've seen MMORPG's much better thought out then this. Oh well, there will always be the hardcore fanatics that really don't give a crap how bad it looks, they'll make some money off of them, at least.

try playing mmorpgs that require an actual graphics card and not something made from cardboard, this isn't your typical blizzard or nvidia designed bullcrap...
try to up the ante past a Radeon 9800 pro by ATI...and stop talkin like you've seen better since there is nothing better out...seriously...Name to me a title of an mmorpg that is better...Dare say SWG? That is an obvious loser....What about Lineage 2 or FFXI? Nah those graphics are no better than Tantra( www.tantra.com.ph)....Seriously what game are we talking about here? Sounds magical, since the screenshots for MxO kick the ass out of any other screen shots, and Everquest 2 is for 40 year old women who have too many cats, and fat white bearded white dudes named St. Nick on the off season. Then you have World of Warcraft..They had to give it such an unimaginitive name, they just wanted an excuse for people to say WOW when they think of their game, which is a good business technique to sell you something that isn't necessarily of quality...People are just happy to have a jump button though, aren't they?
CoH was pretty good as a 1-2 month mmorpg. Then again, all mmorpgs are supposed to be unsatisfying, making you crave for virtual reality. So suck it up and wait for VR or do something that has a point and has an actual story penned by actual writers.
The Matrix Online, The first MMORPG, with a story!! WOW THAT!
