Best Actors? Hmm... let's see...

1) Sean Connery: Indiana Jones and the Last Chrusade (best actor of all time and best director of all time - is it surprising that this is the best movie of all time? )

2) Mel Gibson: Lethal Weapon 2 (I'm not sure if this is a favourite actor, but his performance in the four Lethal Weapon films as Riggs is enough to grant him an honourable place in my book)

3)Jim Carrey: Liar Liar (a nearly flawless comedy and Carrey is brilliantly used)

4)Arnold Schwarzenegger: Terminator 2: Judgement Day (need I add anything? )

5) Edward Norton: Fight Club (I'm not sure if Norton is a favourite actor, but a few films of his I've seen recently make him come to mind, and I've always only really had the four above actors in mind when thinking of favourites)

Possible tie for 5th: Wesley Snipes - he's always kinda good. I'm only truly sure about the first four though...

Great thread Archie ;)

You liked the Hulk? That was some of the worst acting have ver seen, and one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Honestly, there are way too many movies out there and actors to post a top five.

Yuck... The Hulk was a complete waste of time.

John Cleese: So many movies... I'd have to say the Holy Grail.
Robert DeNiro: All of his movies are equally spectacular... Except maybe ShowTime.
Shania Twain: Any music video on mute.
Will Ferrell: Old School
Chris Farley: Tommy Boy

De Niro
Pacino
Jack Nicholson
Christopher Walken - when he does GOOD movies.
Johnny Depp - consistently entertaining
Sam Rockwell
Kevin Spacey
Brad Pitt
Marlon Brando
Denzel Washington
Sean Penn

You people who voted Arnie, Wesley Snipes, Kate Beckinsale, Keanu Reeves and Eric Bana...shame on you, shame on you...you obviously don't know what you're talking about about...and if you come back with..."Blah, blah, blah...it's MY opinion..", well I'm afraid you're 'opinion' is wrong.

you know, I usually don't like Stephen King books and movies but on one day I watched "The Shining" and it was a great movie and one reason definitely was the excellent performance of Jack Nicholson. Therefore, I forgot to put him on my list...however, I don't agree with Al Pacino. He may be a good actor but he does always play the same kind of roles which gets boring very soon. Christopher Walken is also good, I saw him in "The Prophecy" (one of my fav. movies), as well as Sean Penn.

Yeah, well actually, this isn't a thread about the best actors, but actually a thread about the favourite actors, so actually, it is, by definition, a matter of opinion

Schwarzenegger can't act to save his life but you can't deny that he can make a movie fun It just requires the right attitude...
