Welcome to the Loading Dock. Ships are a way to socialize with the members of this forum and get in some great RPG/fanfic type action too. First, there are some rules to get out of the way.

There are 5 positions one can occupy on each ship. Captain, Operator, Councilor, Gunner, and Crew Member. There can be only one Captain and Operator per ship, but there can be three Gunners an infinite number of Crew Members. Your status will be displayed in your profile and next to your posts (under your avatar/username). This is only editable by administrators currently. The number of posts required to fill these roles is as follows:

Captain: 600 posts
Operator: 400 posts
Councilor: 300 posts
Gunner: 200 posts
Crew Member: 100 posts

You may only be on the crew of one ship at any given time. Captains and Operators must be active in the forum at least once per week to keep things fair for others wanting for those positions. Captains will apply in this forum and the ultimate descision will be made by administrators at all times, again, to keep things fair for all members. The application for these positions is not dependent upon moderator/non-moderator status at any time. Captains will appoint Operators, Councilors, Gunners, and Crew Members through PMs to administration or by acknowledging them through their own recruitment thread.

So find a ship you would like to be a part of and start recruiting, yourself, and others. Please do not advertise your own ships in another Captain's recruitment thread if the Captain of that thread expresses that he/she does not want advertisement in his/her thread.
