i was thinking. the oracle was made to observe humans in the matrix so the architect could make the perfect matrix. if the rebels killed the oracle the architect wouldn't be able to make the matrix better than the last one. thus, humans wouldn't accept the matrix and all humans would be free. what do you think?

I think thats a pretty stupid idea since the rebels would never kill the oracle and they wouldnt become free just by killing her which they wouldnt be able to do since she has seraph as protection.....??.....

I'm not sure why they would want to kill her. But, yes, I believe that the Architect needs the Oracle.

they obviously wouldn't become free straight away but over time they would. but then again the architect would just make another oracle, wouldn't he?

No I wouldnt...jk....anyway the oracle wanted peace and she was helping the humans acheive this so there should be no reason to kill her becasue they all need her........

The rebels would not kill the Oracle because noone in the movies saw the Oracle as a threat. They either believed what she said, or they did not care what she had to say, so no.

They didn`t know that the oracle was studying the humans... They didnt even know that she was a program! The first who found out was Neo as seen in the matrix reloaded before the smith fighting....

He was there, because the Oracle said that for years he has protected her, but he was probably gone somewhere, or The WB didnt feel like introducing him yet, until the sequels came out.....

how about if neo was killed in the first matrix (and he didn't wake up) it would have been over a lot quicker. but that would suck.
