When you watch the matrix revloutions, during the scenes where Neo is in 01 they show alot of the machines moving around him and so on...But has anyone noticed how they all resemble sea animals...like sentinals look like squids and the machine leader looks like animal which is a ball with spikes (cant really remember the name).
And another thing why do the machines need a city its not like they're humans and they have families and personal possesions and need to go home at night.....Dont you think the machines are a bit strange??..

I just know that the Wachowskis once said that they wanted to let the sentinels look like some kind of insect because they believe that insects are the perfect species..

Hmm, I'm not so sure about the machines not having famelies and stuff. Remember that dipshit Sati and her two parents whose names I can't remember? They were a family, and I think they said that they were from the machines world or something like it. So I don't know if this means that they live in the machine city or in a Matrix for machines or what, but... something.
Anyone have a clue what I'm talking about?

About the city, i just thought that all that hardware of the Matrix as to be kept somewhere, right?

yes the machine that we see in 01 look like sea creaturs

What about the machines needing to recharge? They need to go back to some power support to energise themselves. Plus the Country "01" origionaly was the home for all machines, and there were androids living there. These machines were made to be like humans and I suppose they would go home and relax or pretend to relax; to act more human, because they looked up to the humans, they would want to be in compliance to humanly things.
The city did change after the battle but the machine city remained partly in the traditional look, thinking that machines don't look for things of beauty and just need it to work, they would probably not have the need to renovate. So even though the andriods were replaced by better machines, and maybe got destroyed when they tried to go to battle, the machines never changed the look of their home. I believe, contrary to the archietect, that machines are the ones with the lesser minds.

those got destroyed in the war (check second renaisance part 2) those machine's the humans could fight and destroy them with out much of a problem. but the new kind of machine's (sentinels and those big harvest machine's) were alot difficulter fot the humans to destroy
and then they got beaten, and the matrix whas born :PI

I think 01 is just factories for building squids(sentinels) and power plants for energy.
