Wow... It's been nearly 5 years since I joined the forum, and I still catch myself checking up on it's non-existant activity... seems like forever and a year ago that this place consumed most of the hours of my day.

How's everyone doing? I just took my last final yesterday, thus completing (what should be) my worst year of undergrad. I'm wiser, more mature, and a bit more confident after the experience, though my grades haven't gone unscathed. Organic chemistry will forever be the bane of my existence, but I'm still well on my way towards medical school.

I'll be staying on campus for the summer, working a full time job as a research assistant in a biochemistry lab. It should be a pretty sweet time, and by the beginning of next school year I'll hopefully be starting my own independent research project in the lab. It's weird though, because now that I"m not coming home for the summer, it's like I really don't live at home anymore. The thought is kind of depressing, but what are ya gonna do.

Yeah, that's about where my life is right now. School, work, and if there's any time left over on the weekends, a couple shots of the cheapest vodka shelved.

For everyone not in the know, I'll be graduating from college on Wednesday (my b-day, as well) with my BA in Psychology. It's pretty fucking exciting, in case you haven't done it yet. It was four long years and I am sure glad it's over. But, after this coming year, I'll be starting all over again to go for my PhD in Cognitive Psychology, hopefully with an emphasis in perception. I should think that will be my love/loathe period in my life.

In the meantime, I hope to get another job in addition the one I already have, hopefully a research assistant position at UCLA or close. I will be going to Boston in August to attend the annual American Psychological Association Convention to present some undergrad research in taste/emotion. That should be freaking amazing too, schmoozing with people in my field, hopefully.

It's cool, I'm now a psuedo-professional. Sweet deal.
