The orange.
I have solved the puzzle 'egg/chicken' and I will solve this one. If you have difficulties seeing clarity in my line of thought, stop sniffing, and get a new mirror.
Now. What was first the Fruit, or the Color. Now, to make this text more readable, I will refer to the Fruit orange OF. Now, because I do not want to be called a hypocritical inconsisten hermit, I hall name the Color, OC (Not to be confused with OCC, which in my opinion the best program ever to grace the Discovery Channel).
Now, I understand that there are many kinds of oranges, and to make sure people understand, I will be talking about Citrus sinensis and not Citrus aurantium. I understand that some folks from Spain will be upset by this, but one has to draw the line somewhere.
Now. Oranges and orange. Or rather, to remain consistent, OF and OC. The question one must ask himself is of course, what is a word, and how does it come to existance. After all, it is unlikely someone knew how a OF looked like, and given a name to it, had he never laid eyes upon one. Although it is possible that he might have heard about an orange, but than the link between the OC and OF would not be established.
So, we have determined that someone had to 'see' an OF to be able to establish that it is indeed OC. Although it is quite possible that someone had heard about an OF called OC, it would than be irrelevant, as someone else had already linked OC to OF. So. Someone had to be the first to link the OF to the OC or the OC to the OF.
After all, there are two possibilities as set earlier. Either people knew about the OC, saw the OF and named it after the OC, or people saw the OF, unaware of the OC until they layed eyes upon the OF, and decided, because it was such coïncidence that they discovered two things in one F, they decided to call the OC OC and OF OF.
This presents a problem, as historically, it is nearly impossible to find out which one is one. How can we actually, with evidence prove that the OC or the OF came before, and determine who named the OF after the OC, or vice versa.
However, these are nothing compared to the difficulty posed by 'Orangina', a company who uses poor OF as mere juice to fuel their quest for meaningless profits. Hath not the Matrix shown us that the Capitalistic system is evil and wrong? Indeed. Orangina, for all intents and purpose is evil. The CEO, XEO and whatever other evil people work in that evil, OF-abusive company are completely evil.
They have, apart from executing a daily massacre of OF, brought shame to the both the OF and OC. Especially since Orangina isn't really OC, and doesn't even taste like it's made out of real OF.
Let not the question be what came first, OC or OF, for of what relevance is it truly? Nay! Ask not what the Orange can do for you, but ask what you can do for the Oranges. Rise up against Orangina, oppressor of the OF, defiler of the OC. Ask their CEO, XEO and other evil corporate puppets affiliated with this evil company the question that is haunting us all:
