Screw all you guys. Britney spears would be the best Neo ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who cares if she can't act as long as shes the one in the sex scene with Trinity. And speaking of that how bout we have Trinity replaced by Jennifer Lopez now that would be awesome. Then Morpheus could be Will Smith who strolls in all manly and joins them. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I couldn't imagine the Fresh Prince being Neo, that just isn't right.

1. Triple H. - Neo as a pumped, roid-rage protein shake junkie with bad skin and a really big nose. This guy IS an animal. He is The Game. And personally, I think he's a better actor than Keanu.
2. The other guy in "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure"
3. A Cigar Store Indian - maybe he would have some legit heat with Trinity
Honorable Mention: Patrick Swayze should've played Morpheus. A Point-Break reunion!!
Did you know that Monica Bellucci (Persephone) also worked with Keanu in 'Bram Stoker's Dracula'? She was one of Dracula's 3 brides that kept Keanu "prisoner" in the castle, sucking his blood 24-7. Gawd, I've STILL got wood from that scene, and that was back in the early '90s!!! And even then, Keanu seemed to have his mind on the Stardog tour........

Nick Nolte...
... as the deranged, drug addict trainman. He would've perfectly fit the role.

I agree fully with ZeroOne. Keanu played Neo to perfection. If someone else had played him, he would be been too emotional, or too smart looking, or too articulate - and this is not because of Keanu's bad acting skillz (his acting is quite good) but because of how he plays Neo, especially Neo's vulnerability in the second and third, perfectly.
