Alfred awoke in the morning and promptly went to check the mail as always.
He found a battered and beaten robin lying on the door step with a note attached.
Lets see the robin fly with it's wings clipped.
Alfred suddenly noticed that both of robins arms were completely snapped.

Joker tried to release himself from Blister's iron grip but it was impossible, Blister had him trapped, pinned up against the wall, helpless.
"Where's the ruby?" Blister growled shaking Joker violently.
Joker feigned ignorance.
"Ruby? what ruby?" He said somewhat unconviningly.
"This one" Blister stated as he search Joker and found a rather sizeable ruby in his coat pocket, he tossed Joker to the ground like a cigarette butt and stalked off into the shadows.
"Nobody does that to me, not in my city" Joker spat, rage gripping his black heart.

Terry had once again gotten bored and decided to check out the libary.
"Jeez, my house could fit in here. . . .Twice!" Terry exclaimed awed.
He noticed a piano sitting in the corner.
whats the harm?
He sat down and began to play until suddenly a section of the bookcase creaked open revealing a small elevator.
"What the hell?"

Terry emerged from the elevator, awe keeping him silent as his eyes opened wide to try to comprehend what he was seeing.
Finally he gasped "I don't believe it"
Alfred's voice came from behind him.
"Is it really that unbelievable?"

Bruce sat at the top of the table and listened as the cold faceless bean counters that ran his company in his stead read various statisics and reports out to him.
He could't care less.
He was more worried about the numerous psychopaths and criminal scum roaming Gotham.
"I should't be here" Bruce grumbled.

Blister stood in the centre of a huge hall surrounded by a group of men clad in thick black metal armour, they each had long samurai swords, hidden within golden sheaths.
Their faces were hidden beneath black face plates.
This was the league of shadows.
"It is time!!!" Blister cried out "Time for the grand leader and master himself, Rasputin alexia ghoul to once again lead us against the swarming villianies of man!!!"
Blister could't quite place it, but something wasn't right, he felt almost as if he wasn't himself.

Hey Renegade-Agent, rumor has it that you lost your touch at writing. That you no longer possess the skills to write that beautiful story that you never finished. Shit, when I first heard this, I was all like "Who you talkin' about?? Dude from MM?? Nah. No way! He could write his ass off. Have you even read his stuff? He does great work!" But everybody's all like 'He don't got what it takes' or 'He lost it'. Man, whatever is what I say. Dude, get back in here and finish this fanfic thing-a-muh-bob before this rumor spreads like wildfire. I'm like the only one defending you. Dude.

The mayor turned on his seat and peered out of the large double glazed windows that had been there since the building had been constructed back during Gotham's creation. They were framed with a crimson red lining and luxurious blue velvet curtains that the mayor found strangely comforting.
He honestly loved his city and despite whatever mad ideas the FBI had about him embezzling city funds and selling arms to organised crime syndicates (None of that had actually proved much to his satisfaction, the mayor found nothing was ever proved if you had enough money and knew whose hands needed greasing.) he was a patriot who only wanted the best for his citizens. The thing he loved his city most for was its predictability. It was easy to control once you knew the patterns and it became even easier once you knew how to manipulate the balance of power so that anyone who happened to be a particular thorn in the mayor’s side vanished mysteriously.
He sighed happily as he spun the chair back to his desk and poured himself a sizable whisky.
That's when a missile that was entirely unpredicted tore a hole through the wall and blew half of the mayor’s office to rubble. The mayor was hidden under his desk by the time the joker traipsed through the hole. Several Hench men followed in his wake, each of them clasping a large machine gun.
"Hello Martha! I'm home!" The joker called out, waving at the desk. "C'mon sugar, didn't ya miss me?"
The mayor neither moved nor made any reply. Pulling a revolver out of his jacket the joker ushered for his men to stay silent. While the mayor quivered and shook beneath the desk the joker tip toed over and leant over the desk.
His eternal smile grew ever larger when he saw the mayor’s chubby exterior shaking. Raising the gun up into the air he fired and nearly laughed out loud when a wet patch spread out across the carpet originating at the Mayor's crutch.
He's going to kill me... I'm, going to die in a puddle of my own piss.
"Come out Mayor, I'm not going to kill you" The joker announced while he strode away from the desk "At least not till batman gets here, then the fun really begins!!!"

Terry held a cup of tea in his hands while Alfred poured himself a cup. They were in the kitchen seated around a small wooden table that would not have looked out of place in a small rural cottage.
"So he's really. . .”Terry looked about conspiratorially then leaned towards the old man "He's really the batman?"
Alfred smiled at the boy's secretive nature and winked at him.
"Try to keep it a secret."
Terry stared him in the eye then broke into a grin. "You’re making fun of me aren't ya?"
"Oh I would hardly dare mock a master of mystery such as yourself terry."
They both laughed at this. After a moment Terry stopped and continued with his questions. "So that's why he's so..."
"Gloomy? Dark? Grim? Depressed?" Alfred filled in.
"Err yeah . . . that"
"Once you get to know the master better you'll understand him properly and if you're lucky you may manage to get past his exterior, god knows he needs it."
Intrigued Terry pushed on "Needs what?"
"Some kind of human contact, a friend. Things are not going well for him lately and I am worried about him. Bruce has become like a son to me"
Silence dominated the room while terry thought over this.
"Who’s that kid in the bed room upstairs?"
"That's Master Tim. . .He’s one of Mr Wayne’s . . . apprentices."
