The melody playing at the beginning and end of that episode, is a melody that was used before in Japan to help blind people across the street, the sound effects guys had a real hard time finding a crossing that still played it.

As I said, it helps blind people across the street, and everyone crossing that street are in a sense blind, blind from the truth. I like to think that's why that particular melody was used anyway.
