I know that most of an MMO's plot is defined by the users, however, Im sure MXO has some sort of basic storyline right? And I read somehwere it involves Morpheus and Sati, and that the Machines are breaking their truce, but still more and more people are being freed from the Matrix. So Zion must be getting bigger but why dont the Machines attack it again if theyre willing to not free everyone who didnt accept the program instantly, as the Architect said it the end of M3. If youre gunna break that part of the truce, why not break other parts? Also, whats your reason for being a human on the machine's side? Are you a spy released by the machines? Is there a second city built for people on the side of the machines? Or are you a program?

Just so you know, I plan not to get MXO not because I dont want it, but because if I do I will get so addicted to it that all other things (namely GCSEs) will fall to the way-side. So I figure if I dont get it in the first place, there's no need to worry.

Finally, whats this Beta-testing stuff?

Beta testing is a part of the game developement. First the game is created in its most basic form. After that there is a period called alpha testing to help with mapping and control issues. Then the game is further developed to a state that is basically playable by the public. This is the beginning of beta testing. They allow a few users to play the game, gradually adding more users as they go. These users are supposed to test the game to find bugs and playability problems with the game that were not found previously. This is supposed to lead to the game going gold. Of course, anybody who has played online games knows this is not true. An online game is always in beta testing.
