OOC: AS_F, for the sake of putting a little more substance than just talking in your post, please just role play your character only.

Kara, I do not know what role play means. This is the first time that I have ever heard of this term being used before. Especially in a story or in a mission. So I am totally at lost in what I am supposed to do right now. Especially with the OOC and the IC Headers as well.

role playing = that you talk about you're character (like i would role play as the real Freddy Krueger)
For instance you write about what you're character does and what she say's in the story.

It also means that you don't just typ what happens in real life. but you make up a story on what happens next.

Role playing is basically having a character (yours) interact with other characters (everyone else's), in this case, through text.

OOC means Out of Character. In other words, when you see OOC, generally that person is metioning something that is not happening/has nothing to do with the rp.

IC means In Charcter. That's everything your character does that revovles around the world you're rping.

This is OOC ------> OOC : Hey, it's my Birthday today.

OR

OOC : Is the door to the left, or the right?

OR

OOC : Hey, you can't do that. That can't physically happen.

Here are some examples of IC--------------------> Glancing around, Stacy tiptoes towards the door. Her gun is in her hand, and her knife is tucked safely in her boot.

OR

Jane looks around, and then whispers to Mark, "Is there any way out of here?"

OR

Mark whips out his saber and attempts to stab Jason in the stomach.


EDIT: Darn, Freddy, didn't see you. Oh well...

ooc: It also helps to think to yourself who your character is. What he/she looks like. What his/her personality is. What her history is. What would she do in the situation. You aren't role playing as yourself. If I were actually in this situation, I would run and cry in a corner. Hack, on the other hand, would come out, guns blazing and try to be a hero.

IC: Sitting down into her seat she waits for the captains orders on starting up the ship as well as typing in the coordinates on where they were going to.

"Captain?"

"Yes AS_F?"

"Are we ready for departure?"

ooc aren't you jacking in with us? Again, please just say what your character is doing. Meaning no more "AS_F says "blah" and Kara relpies "Blah". Just AS_F says "Blah". Kara and I will make our own poses.
