If you could make your own Matrix game, what would you change from ETM if anything? Like, who would you be able to play as? What movie would it be set around, etc.

I would have it be set in Revolutions and I would play Smith/bane.

I'd add in more characters, to add in more insite to what all happened in that timeframe.

I agree, i'd add in Morpheus and Trinity as playable characters and in another mode, Smith. You couldn't play as Neo without "unlocking" him

- It needed a much deeper fighting system for a start, rather than just hammering Triangle and Circle.
- L2 and R2 to strafe? Who's stupid idea was that? what was wrong with the duel analogue control? (e.g. Max Payne)
- None of those crappy tacked-on driving bits please.

- Totally redo the graphics, so they would be on par with say...MGS2 and 3/ Silent Hill 3. That way all of the characters look EXTREMEMLY realistic. Whereas now, they don't, and a lot of the characters (SMith I remember for sure) looks kind of boxy with sharp angles and stuff. Arg.
- Yes, a more advanced fighting system, with lots more moves. Moves that you can actually DO and remember to do while fighting, as opposed to having to press a 10 button combo or something to pull off a move, who's going to have the time to do all of that while they are getting pounded upon by various Agents? No one, they just mash buttons in a desperate attempt to fight.
- better shooting...mechanics? I'd guess you'd call it. And make the bullet-time look more like the bullet-time in the films. For example...I don't remember the bullet ripples in the air being all creamy/white like they are in ETM. They were clear, but wavy...like water(which was the effect Al and Lar were going for)
So yeah, those are the major things.

i liked the bullet time in the game, but after a while it just got irritating becuase it slowed down the gameplay so much.
PLus, you think they could've made the missions a bit more complicated?

We should've been able to have a go at being Sparks somehow as well, instead of just playing Niobe & Ghost.
Another idea is that you should be able to select which ship you are on, and select your character from there, being able to take part in the course of the actual movies, not just a side plot.

If I were to make a Matrix game, I would have set the game inside both the real world and the matrix, but equally. I think I would have liked to put Zion in it as well, at least just the dock, and have the player pilot the hovercraft from the dock to broadcast depth and THEN jack in. I would have also wanted to be able to explore the hovercraft.
As for things inside the Matrix. I think I would have made it a bit more like an RPG, where you get to choose what you're doing, and not set on any particular path. It would be very hard to do, and cost alot of money to make a game like that. but hey, we're alowed to dream right?
Hyper jump was a little short compared to the movies, you should have been able to jump higher and further if you kept holding down the button in Focus Mode.
I think that agents should die when you kick them off of a five story building, and I also think that the whole "Boss" scheme is out of date these days, like the helicopter in the tower, that was kind of lame. Along with the one in the other part of the airport. I think that bosses should be faught on your own terms, and if you want to run away and deal with them later, you should have that choice. (again, like an rpg) I didn't like being alone for the entire game, and when I WAS with a partner, it was badly done. I would have fixed that. The cheats could have been a bit better too, that whole hacking mechanism was probably the best part of the game, but it gave you the impression you would have much more control than you ended up getting.
The swords were cool, but also badly done, as if they were just thrown in there at the last minute, and the multiplayer fighting was awsome, they should have realy worked harder on that.
IN fact, a Matrix fighting game would be pretty cool.
