And while I'm at no point saying that I haven't trolled a bunch, I'm also not razzing someone about breaking the rules while doing so myself, even though this may seem like it.

At any rate, I think that the message is clear from the staff here as to what's acceptable and what's not. Spam, flames, trolls, flippy-dippys, and fiddle-faddles in small healthy doses are not frowned upon. In fact, you will see a LOT of older members doing so amongst themselves. They take comfort in being able to do so without negative results because they have already made reputations that tell others that they aren't here for post count or spam, and any minute infraction is an exception rather than a rule. It's new members looking for approval (or whatever) that are career spammers from the get-go that are responsible for pushing good topics down, or changing the course of a good discussion into a poo-poo fest...
