When Agent Simth copies Bane and then answers the phone and goes into the real world. if the operator and them can read the code they would know what happened so why didn't they disconnect the line to the real world to stop Smith from coming in.

This is another question that I once asked on these forums. I don't remember really getting a straight answer. I think someone said that the operator could've set the hickamatrick to autodial then stepped away from the monitor for a second or something. Then someone else said that Smith's code could not be recognized and that the operator couldn't tell that Bane had been assimilated.

perhaps the code didn't change. perhaps smith came up, and yeah, they saw that, but the copying worked different and the code didn't change. or maybe they did see the code changing, but didn't recognize it and thought it was a glitch. or maybe they were just plain stupid. you never know.

i think that they where stupid. i actually think that no one knows i am guessing that the code did not change.

I don't think the Operator would have looked at it too closely. It only happened right before Bane jacked out. The Operator probably already secured the line and maybe had gone over to the body to manuall jack the needle out of his head by the time Smith took him over.

True becuase if the matrix code was like what they showed in M3 then the whole time the operators would of never seen a thing. Becuase if the code did mess up when if happend then really nothing would of shown in the coding becuase it was already jacked up, and you would of never seen the difference.

I think that like Link points out in Reloaded that when smith is around the code goes haywire and you can't tell completely what is going on, now if that is the case when Smith enters the room or is around the code would have been a bit messed up which the operator would or should have noticed, baring this in mind when smith possessed bane the code wouldn't have changed very much and the operator would have seen it as smith screwing up the code like before and not known that bane had been possessed, that is if the operator was watching when smith took over.

also, Bane was the sole survivor after the EMP went off. that means they might have found out and were killed after the whole incident?

Oo, good point. Don't know if I'm repeating what you said, but maybe Bane killed them -because- they noticed, and were going to alert the other ships. After, it was juast a convenient little mop up to send in the attack.

Maybe the operators just knew that the code was being weird, but didn't know what to make of it.
