Perhaps I don't pay attention at the meetings, or didn't get the memo (or read the right threads), but what, exactly, is this Ship recruitment business? From what I've read, I've figured out what kind of people should join which ship, and that I'm 100 posts away from being an operator... But what happens once the ships get going and whatnot? One of the stickies says that ships are a great way to socialize with other members of the forum... Though I thought that was the idea of the entire forum in the first place, lol. What will be so different with these ships around?

Well, for one it's a status symbol. The ship you belong to says something about who you are. But also, it's like multiplayer RPG based on the stories you come up with for your own ship. It's pretty much a way to socialize and be creative as a team. The building blocks of social behavior and all that.

I read the post requirement and I was thinking, don't you feel 100 posts just to be a crew member is a bit much? I dunno, I guess I really just want to be a part but I can't cuz I don't have enough posts. Ah well. I guess I'm gonna have to wait and work my way up to 100.

Actually 100 takes less time than you think. And ensures that you really want to be part of the community in this forum. Just my 2 cents... ;)

Hmm, you say it's also an RPG? Perhaps sooner or later you could create some sort of faction for those who are agents at heart :smith:. Different divisions of agents and whatnot?

Agents are part of the Matrix. We are part of Zion's elite fighting corps (or whatever they call them). Operators have the power to jack people in and out of the Matrix. And Sentinels are part of the Machine city, we're the good guys. ;)

i heard her say in a post that you cant be in more then one ship and you can not start your own ship but she did not say anything about changing ships. you would most likely have to pm her and ask the capitan of the ship you are a crew member on for aproval.

Okay NLO you're Operator on NMN's ship. If anyone wants to change ships, tell your Captain and Captains PM me about it. But also make sure that the new ship has room for you. ;)
Stalin is not an admin permanently, right now she's a moderator, but she helps me with the forum from time to time.
