imax ?

hi, i'm from belgium and sometimes i read here or on other fora, that some ppl watch movies in an IMAX-theater, now what's the difference with a normal theater ?
is it cooler ?

My God, when I was in London I went to see the Revolutions in the IMAX (£27 for two people!!) I thought it was going to be 3D, when I heard it wasn't I thought, "oh, so it's just a normal movie? for £27??"

But I was so wrong. The screen was, like, 100ft tall it was unbelivable, a 50ft Keanu Reeves, right in front of me!!

The war was worth every penny. I thought it was an amazing experience although it was expensive.

The sound surronds you and the picture is excellent. Anyone who can go SHOULD go.

I thought it was well worththe trip and worth every penny.

Ya, I have been in an Imax theater. I saw a movie about sharks, and it was 3d, it was soooo cool! It cost about $10 per person, luckily it was only me and my dad.

i saw reloaded in imax it rocked. the screen is 5 stories tall and at the one i went to had about 100 speakers wich was the only way to here calm like a bomb(my favorite rage aganst the machine song other than township rebellion, and the entire battle of los angles album)

i saw reloaded in IMAX only a couple of days ago. but i suggest to only go to see the matrix movies in IMAX if your going for the effects and not to try and concentrate on the theory side of it, cause the effects will blow you away, and you wont end up listening for the main conversations.

I saw the matrix revoultions in both IMAX and regulare theaters. I thought the regulare theater was waaaay better. there was so much action that in IMAX it was so hard to watch.
