Did you want an M4??? He's how we can get it...

I thought of this idea the other day. For all of us out there that have so many unanswered questions, we would love to have an M4, or maybe a M5.

My idea is that the W's make money from the movies from theaters, dvd's, rentals, comic books, video games, etc. If we all decided to "BOYCOTT" the products then it would have a great impact on a decision to make an ending to the movie.

If we all banned together with some national publicity and refused to buy M3 when it is released then the W's might have to listen.

Each small voice wont be heard, but together we can make them do what we want because it is our Matrix, and we have the power of choice, I choose another movie.

That is the best idea I have heard yet. I for one will boycott the W's. Just think of the impact we could have. I love the movies, but M3 needed closure. If we don't buy or rent any of their products then they would have to listen to what we want.

Hell, i am all for this.

one question.. how do we get national publicity? What do you have in mind, maybe Fox News, The O'Reilly Factor.... something like that?

Why not just send them lots of fanmail FIRST, requesting they make another. When people do boycotts, they first send notices to the company they are boycotting, letting them know they want change or else this will happen.

Personally, I'm quite happy with the trilogy. We still have more to look forward to: MxO, possibly another Enter the Matrix, maybe an Animatrix 2, more comics....

Worst idea ever.

Why would you want to boycott something so great? I pray the Wachowskis don't make a fourth or fifth edition to the film. It's best left to the viewer's imagination. If you want something more, do it yourself. Write a matrix fan fiction, draw a matrix fan comic. It's in your hands to continue the story.

I've given the Wachowskis plenty of my hard earned dollars up to this point and I see no reason to discontinue doing so just because a couple cry babies are stomping their feet for another movie.

You say the choice is theirs to make, so what are you going to do if they choose to not make a fourth or fifth film? You'll shrug your shoulders, walk down to the video store, and buy a copy of Revolutions.

That's kinda why I started this thread... to see what we needed to do first. I am sure that alot of people already have sent emails, etc. I just thought that this might give more ammunition for our cause. It will command more attention than just fanmail alone.

I was happy with the trilogy somewhat, but M3, after waiting for so many years, was a let down. It could have had a better ending considering the amount of time that we have had to wait for it.

In no way am I dissin the W's work, I think they have made some of the greatest movies of our time, but they let us down on Revolutions.

The more money the franchise is gonna make, the more arguments the wb's will have to start follow ups.

BUT:

Bad Idea to make another movie to conclude the storyline. It is good as it is. An following presentations like comic books, novels or animes are going to show us the world after revolutions.

I think of the Matrix-Trilogy as a very small part of what is happening in the world of the matrix. Someday Neo is the one they spieak about, like they do about the first one in Matrix 1.

Neo becomes Legend, and in best case, the new protector of the oracle. This is going to be a total different story, which could be brought up perhaps in 20 Years from now an. Not earlier. And it wouldn't be made to explain things from the first trilogy. It would just tell a new story. The world is evolving. Perhaps it will be called: "Matrix-Evolution".

But first the Matrix-World after revolutions has to be shown in other media. Movie would be a bad idea.

Think about it in this way: The movie is a frame, and everything else (games, comics, fandiscussions, animes, philosophical explanations) gives you the idea of the picture. The potential is so big. Everything would be destroyed by an "Everything Explaining Matrix-Movie". Where would be the fun?

They have made so much money already that it wouldn't really effect what they make, do you realize how many millions they have as is from what we've already bought. They're set for life, what are they worried about, not to mention the new movies they're working on, people will buy regardless, the matrix trilogy is not all they have to their name. Honestly, I'd like nothing more than to see Trin and Neo back, but think of how awful it would be at the same time...it would become shallow like the horror movies where you have to wonder just how many sequels does it take before it becomes ridiculous...and I don't want capitalism to over run my favorite trilogy. Better left alone applies, it would comfort me to see things changed and the aftermath, but it would become infinite and boring, and cheap at the very base of it...can you say Jason X?

it's a trilogy that means only 3 parts. no part 4 or 5

what can they do in a part 4. trinity is dead, smith is deleted. there is peace between zion and the machines. neo is gone. so what ? do you whant to see morpheus looking for another ONE.

i do hope that there will be a animatrix 2. that gives more info !
and matrix online will come out this year so that will keep people happy again for a wile.

The intention of the trilogy is to make you think.
You can answer most questions by yourself by diggin' into religion, philosophy, theology and your own (hopefully) logical brain. You can have months extra fun with that.
This forum is a great example of what I mean.

So the W-brothers did a fantastic job.
This is not just a movie-trilogy...it is almost a form of life!

So don't even think about boycotting them.
They deserve every penny!!!

not all people will not guy M3 because others want a M4.
i think that revolutions explained things exceptionally well, better than i excepted.
i think that if M3 was to answer all our questions, then
1. what would be the point of these discussions in matrix forums? i mean there would be none, everything would be answerd
2. they would leave us with nothing, all the theorys and concepts that people have discovred since M1 would just be waste
3. it wouldnt be the W bros. style they are not just going to end a film in any other way, especially the matrix.

and it doest matter if the W bros. are in it for the money, they can have my $40 that i spend on each DVD, becasue it brings me happiness, and frankly the amount of time/effort/effects that they put into the mtraix, they deserve the money, we shouldnt be so selfish with our ideas and words. they (W bros) have create this for us, and for them.. life ends, so why not indulge?

If they did an M4 (or more), they would have to follow another time period or something to avoid overkill.

Have you ever read a book or seen a movie that had the perfect ending? They never do. Either it's overdone and everyone goes home happy, or it leaves you hanging to some extent, wondering what will happen next.

That's how the Matrix trilogy is, only more drawn out. The primary purpose, IMHO, is to make people question things more and think just a little more for themselves.

The trilogy did that. We all thought, at least for a moment, "What if there is more than this?" Right? I'll say I questioned my reality for a while after I saw The Matrix. Hopefully I wasn't the only one. It provides us with multiple levels of thought, not just some high-quality action movie that lets you leave the theater ready to take on an army (although it did that too).

They can continue it in comics and anime (possibly even Novels, as someone mentioned), but no more movies, please.

comic's and a animatrix 2 will be good.

in the comics they could do the same as the 3 movies. or make completly different things.
