Zion is still there (Revolutions trailer)

CraHan

Some people have stated that Zion is already destroyed when Neo and Bane (Smith) are seen lying across eachother at the end of Reloaded. I beg to differ since in the trailer for Revolutions we
hear someone say:

"In less than 12 hours the machines will breach the dockwalls"

This is obvious proof of Zion still being ok at the end of Reloaded.

Also note that the strange longhaired homeless person we meet in the game also makes an appearance in this trailer. So when he says to Niobe she has 72 hours left (in Enter The Matrix) it does seem to be important to the story, or at least to the last installment of the trilogy.

Did you wait to see the trailor at end of credits or see it somewhere else?

I just saw Matrix R last night.

the people that said Zion is already destroyed are dumb :-)

They must have mistakened the attack on the ships for an attack on Zion and not paid much attention to the conversations.

It stated after Neo talked to the architect they had 24 hours before Zion would be destroyed.

I waited at the end of the movie to see the trailer. But you can see it at the end of the game too.

I doan do games. Boring.

At least we don't have to wait long for Matrix 3.

This one was so forced. Pretentious dialogue, over the top psychobabble.

i waited through the credits 4 the m3 preview-it was hort but worth it

The end of the movie trailer and end of the game trailer are both different. SO watch both. Just thought i would clear that up.
AgentSmith7

i watched the movie the first day it came out and it had no trailers at the end of the creds.

After seeing the movie the 1st time I thought Zion was destroyed. Pretty easy mistake to make. After seeing the movie a second time I understand that they are talking about the 5 ships that were placed as an initial defense by Commander Lock. So...I was not dumb, just missed that part.

I have a version of the Revolutions trailer here. Dunno if it's the one you people saw in the movie theaters, but it start with a conversation between Niobe & Ghost. It also ends with a conversation between Niobe & Ghost ;)

I'm not entirely convinced the 'dockwalls' would mean Zion, but I do certainly agree that Zion is still around. I've tried to find Zion-scenes in the trailer (must'a watched it 50 times yesterday :p), but I can't seem to find one. Not one with people around anyway.

But just to re-iterate, I believe that Zion is still alive & kicking. My only question is this: the 9 hours that Lock said the machines had left, was that perhaps until they got to the 'ambush/counterattack' point? Or does this statement of 12 hours mean that the walls/roof of Zion are made of something special, and need something special to rip 'em up?

In M2 when Lock spoke of 9 hours he was talking about how long it would be until the sentinels reached the point he had prepared for a counter-attack.

In the M3 trailer, when he spoke of 12 hours until the machines reached the dock walls he was talking about the outer walls of Zion. (The gates that are opened and closed for the ships are the openings in the dock walls.)
