I loved that video. Sephiroth just doesn't look the same with short hair. I didn't even know it was supposed to be him until they showed him in flames. I do agree that Cloud looks alot like Tidus...even with his strange wardrobe. He has something on with one sleeve. Only Tidus would wear something like that...or so I thought. I know that the movie will be a success. I am in the process of playing FF7 right now. It is my favorite FF game right behind FFX. I would try FFXI but I'm not really for paying a monthly bill just to play it.

actually nobody knows if that is sephiroth, it may be him but who knows, all the places i've seen the trailer at seems to think that the figure in the wheel chair is either sephiroth or aries.

once again, square is going to screw it up. I didn't hear any sound in that video, but I'm pretty sure that this is supposed to be some sequel to ff-7, not a movie version of ff-7.

also, you need to learn some ff history, go play 6 (3). That's the one they need to make into a movie.
Spirits Within was a 90 minute mistake. The point is, they spent so long on da pretty graphics, trying to make them "Real" that they forgot the plot. FF is about fantasy, not frikken Aliens.
The reason FFVII-2 will be good (i'm hoping) is that they already have established characters, a universe, a basic structure. They can elaborate on that like FFX-2 and make a sequel that expands on a universe where in SW they needed to create chracters, slighty difficult in 90 minutes.
I have played FF6, and finished it. I thinbk it a great game, and establ;ishes some good basic formulas for later games (collect AP to learn magic) but a movie, I don't think so. The plot is far to multi-expanding that it has to cope with too many characters to make it effective and has too many sub-plots for every character for it to be of suitable length
FF8 would be a better movie, because the characters are all based around the same hub (Garden) and the story is more appropiate for a movie because it has huge action scenes and (Whatr i feel FF6 lacks) a sense of wonder.
By the way, FF8 is my favourite game!!

you keep saying ff6. the movie is a sequil of ff7
and i have to agree with terikan spirets within really sucked.
but most likly advent children will be very good because
1.they made the mistake of SW and now they can corect it
2.you really can't mess up the already good storyline of ff7 (unless they do sompthing increadibly stupid like make sepheroth a good guy. and am i the only one who is slightly hoping aries will be resurected*sorry i just ruined part of the game*)
3. if square does in fact somehow skrew up the storyline they will have all of the fans to deal with (and i don't think they want all the complaints)
So you were talking about Aeris....ok. Hopefully the movie will clarify the ending. Did the thing hit or didn't it?
