I am a major fan of Korn but have heard heard a lot of people don't like them. Do you like Korn, Do you dislike Korn? Just tell me what you think. I thought the best way to see how many people like Korn was to post a thread about it. If you do like Korn what do you think is their best album?

Your forgetting Life is Peachy. But in all, I think Take A Look In The Mirror is the best, because of the fact that they went back to their roots. The title itself refers to looking back at yourself, and what youve done, and who you are. Thats why I like Korn, and thats why I love Take A Look In The Mirror.

Yeah Untouchables is a great CD. My favorite songs on it is: 4.Hollow Life and 13.No One's There.

I've never really liked KoRn much. They have a few songs I like, but I just don't feel a lot of their stuff. You can't argue that they are a successful band or anything, just not my style.

The only cool thing about 50 cent is that he got shot nine times and managed to live but I can't stand his music or any other rap. Not to offend anyone but I hate rap it's just not real music to me.

well, i enjoy metal and hip hop, but you hafto realise that 50 cents, such as ****loads of rappers nowadays aim at masses, and often lose their original style and appeal at same time. it's all about lame R&B with gals singing choruses.
However, the border beetween rap and hard rock is quite thin often, even cypress hill has released an album (live at the fillmore) that any hard rock fan would enjoy.


Anyway, that was just to say that if you consider 50 cents being an artist, i do consider him as marshall's product.
Best album from korn to me is 'life is peachy', with songs such as twist, chi, lost, A.D.I.D.A.S.If there were only 1 album to recommend, it would be this one.

What can I say about KoRn? At least it's better than listening to 50 Cents. Oh and I second that post about him being shot 9 times. But About KoRn. I personally don't care for them. I only like "Did My Time", my brother loves KoRn. While I dislike.

You think it's cool that he got shot 9 times? hate...not that I'm a big fan of 50's rap or anything. This is in fact the KoRn thread and I know you don't wanna offend anyone, so I won't illustrate how the Rap/Hip-Hop industry may not be what's called REAL music anymore, but it is in fact music in some sense.

i think Korn is a pretty good band, but I still like others better like hatebreed or mushroom head but take a look in the mirror is their best yet.

I acknowledge that it's music and some people like it but I'm just saying that I don't. I mean I don't hold personal grudges against the rappers because let's face it they have to make money just like everyone else, but I don't understand what is so appealing about it since the music that the artists play in the backround stays the same for the entire song. I respect rap it's just not my type. But I don't wish to turn this into a feud because no music is better than other music there's just music you like and music you don't like.

I really like Korn but need their latest album and i'm skint, so i'm gonna have to wait for a while............also with the rap thing i dont listen to it as much but i think it's important to have equal respect for the style even if it isn't as good in the mainstream now. It's also important to remember that what you hear on the radio isn't always the best stuff around, so if you don't mind rap but don't like what you hear in the mainstream, dig deeper, but hey sorry for the rant, this is a Korn thread.

i hate rap and r/b it's just stupid riming. and the only reason why they get atention is because there always full with (half) naked women. (and mostly there ugly as hell with there huge butts)

i only listen to rock, hard rock and metal.

i find it stupid that hard rock and metal are only on tv on wednesday evening on the box.
all the other days it's that stupid rap, r/b, hip hop, pop or alittle of that soft rock crap.

actually, it's a whole hell of a lot more than just rhyming, and not all of it is stupid. i tried to squash the sh1t-talk but you won't let it go. just because you can't relate to the music isn't any reason to criticize it. and no, i'm talking about the only sh1t you've seen. i'm talking about the vast amounts of music produced by people in the genre that you'll never give the time of day to. by only listening to a very narrow scope of music, you are limiting your exposure and credibility when talking about music. i'm not here to criticize you for that, but you can't start making broad generalizations about any genre of music that you've never actually taken the time to look into. that's like saying all metal bands do is play ****ty riffs too fast and scream incoherent words into the mic. do all metal bands do that? no, of course not. i don't listen to it much, but i don't go around calling it stupid either. like i've said before, i don't want to get into an argument about the music, because this is a KoRn thread, but i'm not just gonna sit here when you badmouth something that you have no idea about.

Although my last post didn't ask for or require a response, I guess me and you have to turn this thread into an argument, so I apologize to the thread's starter and contributors.

I swear you must not have even read my post. Why are you classifying R&B in the same category as Rap? R&B stands for Rhythm and Blues, not Rap and Bass. You might mean Hip-Hop, but I doubt that you know the difference between Rap and Hip-Hop, and you clearly don't know what you're talking about. By the way, you said why they get attention two posts in a row, and I did notice that in your last post. To get to the point where they can make a music video that will be aired on a large network, a rapper/rap group has to get recognized by a label, sign a contract, put out an album, have the album be successful, and THEN they can make their video for MTV. Clearly they must be popular to at least some extent before the video with all the half-naked women is made.

Saying that "all those other (black) rappers suck," is saying that all black rappers suck, and that you think all other rappers aside from Eminem are black. Not only is that statement incorrect (saying all other rappers being black), but saying that all black rappers suck could be interpreted as racist. If you only like Eminem, who is white, and think that all the black rappers suck, well that sure sounds racist to me. You are judging the imagery that you see and are arguing the stereotypes of people who have never EXPLORED the genre, which are often untrue of independent Rap and Hip-Hop. I hear most music before I know what the artist looks like, and don't even judge whether I like it or not if I'm not familiar with the genre, or don't understand the viewpoint of the artist.

But we've spent enough posts off-topic, so if anyone has a response to this either PM me or email me or something.

DPD: Like I said earlier in one of my posts in this thread that I respect rappers and those who like rap, I can't say any type of music is really better than any other type. When it comes down to it, there's music a person likes and music they don't like, it's all a matter of oppinion. I just favor rock, it's just music I like, I'm not here to critisize rap or anything else.

Freddy: I saw the right now music video too, it was pretty cool, the cartoon dude did a combination of rude stuff and painful things. but it was really cool. If you want to see simular stuff like that, go to KoRn's official site: www.korn.com and www.korntv.com
