Good and Bad Movie trilogies or Quadrilogy

my all time favorite movie set is tha Alien movies and the star wars movies are ok not all of them are good though the empire strikes back and clone wars are the better ones, the harry potter movies all crap same with the terminator and of course the matrix is good even thought the second wasnt that good

I hate Harry Potter... But I do like Terminator, Matrix, Alien, Predator etc.. I never really was a big fan of Star Wars though.. It bored me to death...

matrix would be by far my fav movies and series. i hate harry potter, and i havent seen the terminator series yet (i want to). what about lord of the rings? i thought the end third one was kinda cool, but they were all WAY too long.

lord of the rings was pretty cool im glad that they were so long and they didnt try to tell that whole story in some choppy hour and a half movie and i havent seen the third one yet, and i always thought that there wasnt enough fighting in star "wars"
and the two X-men movies were pretty good the second was a lot better because it had more mutant action especially the pyro scene were he starts blowing up all the cop cars.

First and formost The Matrix, then The Lord of the Rings, then Star Wars (episodes 4-6), The Crow, last would be the Godfather those are my favorites.

the Rambo movies was awesome!!

the first jurassic park was great, second was tolerable, third sucked!

The Best: Lord of The Rings

The Great: Indiana Jones

The Good: Back to the future

The OK: Matrix trilogy - 1st amazing, 2nd good, but spoiled in light of M3, 3rd bleurgh.

The Intellectual: Three Colors - Blue, White, Red

The Sexy and Funny: Emanuelle

The Over-rated: Godfather trilogy - 1st film good, 2nd great, 3rd bad.

Ou Be Low hoo, I didn't know you saw the three colors trilogy (bleu, blanc, rouge). That was good. And I think you're right about the Godfather trilogy being overrated, however, it's not really a trilogy as no one who likes the first two will even watch the third one. ;)

I loved the 3 colors trilogy too -- fascinating!

In fact, I ditto most everything Ou Be wrote, except trade the trilogy listed for the best with trilogy listed for the ok, with the same reasons tacked on. I REALLY didn't like ROTK. Oh, and haven't run across the Emanuelle series.... but can think of other sexy & funny in that vein... ;)

the third one came out ages ago.....it's really funny....it's the wedding

I almost forgot... American Pie!!! Damn, the best comedy films out.. Except the ones from Pixar (Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Monsters Inc etc.. But they are not trilogies yet...). :)

And the Pixar films are great, I love the animation. I especially like that an adult and a kid can watch them together. :)

no-one on here has seemed to mention the "hannibal lector" trilogy.
silence of the lambs, hannibal and red dragon, were all good films, and anthony hopkins played a magnificant role, and edward norton is one of my favorite actors so red dragon was excellent role for him as well
also i like the idea how they didnt bring them out like one after the other in the correct order like they did with the matrix, it makes it seem more interesting.

to those who keep asking speed is not a trilogy

The matrix and hannibal lector trilogies are awesome, and LOTR is ok, but action movies with not much theory or depth (such as terminator and tomb raider) are just pointless attempts to make more money.

i agree with the bad new star wars movies they should have made movies on the books that took place after the return of the jedi. and the jurrasic park trilogy should have been left as just the first two or the the first one because the third one was too short and just plain sucked the first was the best one because it was the first of its kind no one had ever done a good dinosaur movie.

as i have mentioned before the alien series is by far the best and it seems as if their might be an alien 5 and there will be an Alien Vs Predator movie which is in the filming process now

Watch the marx brothers...they do the funny better. Inspector Clouseau is great...The Pink Panther is watchable a million times over...Even Austin Bloody Powers kicks the kapoodle out of mofo AMERICAN PIE! They totally rip off all the great 80s college comedies...I guess you ain't seen Animal House!

As for the speed thing...words....cannot...express...my....feelings.....

Speed 1 was watchable, but not 'good'. Speed 2 was so bad, Keanu wouldn't even go near it. Uh, I hope there wasn't a third one.

Definitely not, but it's one of the most addicting controlled substances.

speed is not addictive...it just ****s up your brain for an hour then leaves you sprialling down to the abyss...
