illuminati + people of zion

in some of the threads i have read, it explains ZION to be a place of god, holding gods poeple.
BUT i was reading up on illuminati, and protocols of the learned elders of zion, which is a mythological peice, originating in europe in the 1800's, tells of a secret meeting in the graveyard with satan and the twelve elders of zion. and the illuminati means "enlightened ones"
so i pose this question

'could the people of zion be against god and its spritual being, and actually be part of the secret society of the illuminati?'

please inform me if i am on the wrong track and none of this makes sense.

Honestly, I don't know much about other religions and the like, but I do know that according to Christianity/Judaism, Zion is kind of God's headquarters-- Jerusalem. It's where his people were based, their "chosen city."

Great question, though. I'll have to do some more reading now :D
