Can you play as Neo?

I would certainly hope so even though he was killed in Revolutions maybe they might make some attempt to resurrect him and let him be used to play as but then their would be like 10,000 Neo's in the world because if you have powers like that then who wouldn't want to be him. If anyone has information on playing as Neo please post it as a new thread.

if characters from the movies will be in matrix online, they will probaly be A.I. characters in the game.

i don't think you will be able to be neo, or have the powers of THE ONE.

reason why that would suck: if 1 person would be the one, he would be unbeatable for other players, he would have a unfair advantage.
reason why it would suck: if alot of high lvl (skill lvl) players would have the powers of the one (or powers like super smith) it would totaly destroy the game, because they will of course go after the low lvl players and keep killing them, and then not giving them a change to make there level go up

I know you requested it to be posted as a new thread, but, quite frankly, I'm too lazy to do so. Besides, it's been addressed in other threads, so I'd rather not upset anyone.

Anyway, the MO website says you cannot be a "one" or have any of Neo's special powers, thus suggesting that being him is out of the question.

I, personally, like to fancy that he didn't die and that perhaps, someday, we'll get to meet up in MO. Of course, that's just my little dream....

IF (a big 'if' ) the powers of the one are in the game, the highest change will be that a A.I. neo will be in the game.
and not that 1 player will be able to be neo and a other player that is on the machine side will have the powers of Super Smith.

because those 2 will be unbeatable for other players, making it unfair !

I really hadn't thought much about seeing Smith/Neo in MO (as in AI), but now that you mention it, it would be interesting...

if it realy is set after revolutions, then probaly the dead characters (neo, smith and trinity) won't be in it.
but hey it's a game they can do what ever they whant.
i woudn't mind fighting smith and his clone buddy's

As long as you assume that Neo and Smith are truly dead, I am free to assume the opposite :D

We watched Smith "die" in M1, but look what happened after that.
We don't know for sure that Neo died in M3, so there's always hope for those who wish to have it.

if you have read reviews on the game u can make ur own characater desgin it adn u fight people all over the world its just one big envirometn not alll differetn worlds so u cant be any one the characters from matrix triogly

al so u cant have the powers of the one u can level up and get chips that let u do stuff but i it would take away from the game if you where the one liek freddy said they would gfo after low level characters and it wouldent be fair fro every one cause there would only be one neo

There is no way that anyone will be NEO. Even if he isn't dead, they wouldn't do such a thing because then everyone would be NEO. If you haven't read about the game it says you trade powers and build your guy up to hold more. So, NO.

no you can not i read it in a interview with a developer. the guy said that as you play the game you can meet characters from the movie but you cant play as them.

you cant be any of the major charectors in this game as they play a part in the games play anyway, and you also cant be NEO as if you remember he is not in the matrix any more as this continues from Revolutions, so neo is not around neither is smith you have to have you own charecter and also you cant fly like neo or smith you dont have any of the ones powers AT ALL.
