i had this weird idea that came to me when i saw all three of the movies in a row. Theres lots of ideas on this site about matrix as a neverending cycle. well what about this. In M1 we he first wakes up he says his eyes hurt. i just thought it would be cool if that was because of what smith in banes body did to him, and for some reasons the machines fixed his appearance and reinserted his body. now obvisously this isn't the case but i thought it was a cool idea....any thoughts or ideas on the matrix as a cycle?

back to philosophy...theres these religions where ppl believe in that life is like a cycle..repeat and repeat...
another is the myth of Sisyphus...the never-ending spiral towards death. Do you recall ,The man condemned by the gods to eternally push a boulder up a mountain, only that when he reached the top, the boulder would fall back down, and he would start all over again. Forever would he perform this pointless task.

i cant be repeatative since the war is over and there is peace with the machines and zion, so the machines want attack when they see a ship.
It is repetetive, unless man learns to control his emotions, and learns to be nice to each other, and others (matthew 7:12, there is a reason why I am posting that!).
Since that time will never come (Reading some posts on this board, I am pretty sure about that one) it will be a repetative cycle: Eventually we will attack the machines.

And how long do you think this peace will last? Humans will eventually spread out of Zion, grow in power, and attack the machines, and the stories begins again, or we finally whipe out the machines, something most of the viewers were logically expecting, however the Brothers wanted to show that Neo had no purpose, that it was futile.
Eventually our arrogance will drive us to destruction once more, and we will once again need Neo, to repeat the cycle.

yes it is true the Matrix was a cycle like everything else in the universe, however, once something had dramatically changed -- ergo peace between machines and humans -- the cycle will never be the same again. Perhaps that was truely the end of the cycle but i have a strange feeling that someday the human race will not appreciate the strength and capabilities of the machines and strike out, but not for a very long time
