Well if there are multiple matrices then why couldnt there be multiple ones. I know there has been 5 other versions of the one, but if the speculation about a matrix inside a matrix is true then why wouldnt there be people getting set free again in zion? Like more of the one, like next level or somthing. It seems dumb to me. And also if there are more levels of the matrix then whats the deal with AI, the breading grounds were humans are no longer born they are growen where is the explaniation for that? What controls the machines inside the so called second matrix were neo wakes up in M1. and if there is another level who controls that yet another more superior verison of AI? Super AI? I agree the Title "Revalations" is very interesting it could mean a lot of things due its plural tense. Somthing just occured to me...a nother biblical referce to the book of revalations....im going to do some reasearch on that maybe read it....well anyways back to the subject...And if the whole idea with the multiple matrices is true why couldnt neo be able to see the code? is it maybe because he hasnt freed his mind in this level yet or that maybe its a different type of code? Well its getting late and im tried and i got off the subject alot owell touched on some thigns

Yes, my theory is inner/outer matrixes.
Remember when Neo had the epiphany in the inner matrix, after getting shot by Smith and dying, and coming back to life? He's got to have that same epiphany in this outer matrix level to see the same thing. He didn't see the code in the inner matrix until he made that understanding.

What I wonder though, is if there are Matrices within Matrices, then that would indicate that Neo, Trinity, Morpheus and everyone else is still plugged in, so in that case, no one is free because none of them have been freed "again" lately...so if that were true, then a revolution would be impossible. I doubt that there are multiple matrices, a theory a few friends and I have about Neo's new ability is that when he contacted Agent Smith (in this movie and possibly in the last, because in the last he was hardwired to the Matrix) he was linked to the Matrix system. So Neo is now able to stop the sentinels in the same way that Agent Smith (in a human body) was able to avoid being part of the massacre up by the pipeline. And since they're both in comas, that could be an indication of a connection.
very very true WC im glad your hear, im not totaly sure about his whole in/outer matrices...dont want it to happen but i guess if it works out well then its cool....but im still tried and do not want to think i will replay with somthing better later

Let me preface all this by saying that this whole Matrix universe exists within Larry and Andy Ws' heads and so proof can only be drawn on what they have done and/or OK'd.
While I was definately taken in by the idea of Matrixes within Matrixes, and my wife and I debated this for days, it must not be. The W brothers OK'd "The 2nd Renaissance" as a history of the Matrix, and dispite its seemingly anti-Human stand point, I think it must be taken as gospel as the genuine history of Matrix world.
Alternatively, if there really is a Matrix within a Matrix, what's to stop there from being an infinite number of levels to that? What's more, the movies need not resolve this debatee, since perhaps the core philosophy will end up being nihilism or existencialism. But I still think we have been handed a playing field that they will not violate.
Think of the Christian ties that they have already developed, think of the producers religious status in real life. If you think enough of it, you'll come to the conclusion there are no multiple matrices, and they left them out for more reason than looping discussions like this.
Firstly i'll look at it from a Christian perspective.
It is clear there are many ties, on many levels, between the matrix and the christian religion. Trinity, Doubtful Thomas, Thomas A. Anderson, Nebuchadnezzer, etc. (for ease of reference, Thomas A. Anderson "translates" to "Son of Man who is doubtful of his role")
Compare the people in the matrix to "unsaved citizens" of earth. Compare the people out of the matrix to "saved citizens, trying to get more people saved" and compare Neo to Jesus. Fits well doesn't it? heh.
Assuming we're going on the idea there's multiple matrices, here's the argument.
Neo is in yet another Matrix, supposedly not freed ie "not saved"? That would mean God would be unsaved, that would mean that you are looking down on God which is blasphemy. Case in point.
Here's the argument for a purely humanitarian viewpoint.
Given there is supposedly an infinite number of matrices, now one will ever truly be saved, set free. You are saying that the human race will never be truly free. A very hopeless view, that begs the question, why do we try then? it will create a race of people that do not strive to achieve anything, and eventually will be wiped out because of sheer stupidity. Case in point
By all means, discuss your view however.
