motivation

i've been reading again...

i was reading about a scientist who believes that if we have a motivation powerful enough we could break barriers such as strength and gravity to certain extents, he believes that this is due to a system of control.. if the mind was to suffer an emotion deep enough our body could bend this control or break it..

"a 16 year old male and his father were walking down the street, and the father got hit by a car out of control, and the father was trapped beneath the rear axle. The average build, 16 year old, lifted the rear end of the car, and someone else pulled the father out.
later the boy was asked how he did it, and the boy replied "do what?"
the boy had no recolection of what he had done, the scientist who researched this believed he did this amazing fete, the sceientist said he had done it subconciously, and because of his emotion taking over the 16 year old bent the rules of the system, and gained strength beyond any comprehension!"

that is a true story taken from a book i was reading recently, i believe that if we have a strong enough motivation to strike a powerful emotion then the human mind can be capable of almost anything

I've decided to move this into The Matrix is all around you forum, as it has no links to A.I. or Artificial Life.

However, i have heard this somewhere, and i think it's a pretty amazing story. The mind is capable of many things that we don't understand im sure.

Pretty interesting story. The matrix, actually, is based in this motivation theory. The message that the movie leave is that there is a system that is not letting us be free. Bring us more.

i have scowered long and hard and can't find anything else about these motivations at the moment, but i will continue to search!
i had never really thought about the matrix as a motivation or a story of.. but when you think about it, it is!
everything has a motivation, it is whether that motivation has purpose or is powerful enough to exceed the task at hand!

well another example of this would be when trinity was shot by the agent in reloaded, and neo develed into trinity and pulled it out, that was motivationaly caused.

exactly my point.. i kno thats just a film point of view... but who knows what we could be capable of with the right motivation..

usually the motivation is a person or love of a person! .. so who knows... some beliefs (i cant say religions because that would be politically incorrect), follow this rule of motivation..
eg. motivation such as this is used to achieve higher levels of conciousness... i have not yet experienced this for myself.. but i plan to sample this as it sounds a very interesting experience!
