The "Probably" theory

Hey, I've been thinking and I realized something. After so many mis-uses of this non-exsisting word it hit me. There is no probably. Something either is or isn't. If someone says "It probably contains sugar", they are mistaken. It either does contain it or it doesn't. I know this isn't a very necessary thread, but I just thought I'd let the only people that understand me know :) Feel free to comment on it.

I think the difference is in the word. You're right, nothing is probably something (even if it takes a while to reach the answer i.e im PROBABLY gettin the job). It either is or isn't. As it pertains to the matrix, the word used continuously is "probability", which do occur in equations.

Lol, yes it was. I guess probably might be able to be used in a correct way... But I'll have to think how...

Lol, yes that's a good example... And I'm glad my thread is fun :)

Ex: These cookies are probably gonna be good (based on ingredients, and cooking time).

Still, though. Your team is or isn't gonna win. The cookies are or aren't going to be good. There is no way to prove a probably. If someone can I'll probably give them a penny :)

and while it is NOT a fact that my team will PROBABLY win, it is a FACT that (based on score and time) there is a high PROBABILITY of winning :)

I also realize the same thing about maybe. You can build on that if you wish :)

P.S. You should change your title... At 260 posts you can change it to whatever you want. "Maybe" you want to. I think you "Probably" will. It is your choice though. You will or you won't.
Probablities won't change it. The choice is made... Now you have to understand why you made it... - Oracle :p

CraHan will "Probably" not wave his finger, more of delete this thread (j/k :D) "This site will "Probably" not make history in this site. "Maybe" it will though. Probabilities say no. But chances happen. Yet they don't. It will or it won't. We know that. Now we just gotta enjoy the ride :)

Lol, when you add the "Maybe" it mean they can't prove you are. Maybe is a 50-50 percent chance. But there is no chance as well. Chance is an illusion. You will get lucky, which doesn't excist, or you won't. Lucky is the same... I just realized we could go on for hours splitting up groups and making theories... I'm glad I made this thread :)

P.S. OFF TOPIC- Does anyone ever hit ; when they they try to hit ' ? I do all the time and it really pisses me off :D.

Yes, off topic, I do hit it all the time and it drives me nuts.

And you're right, it cannot be proven either way, because it's maybe :)

That is not true. The descision is made. How you feel in a while will not differ from now. You agree or you don't. "Might" is the same. You "Might" message me back telling me, you say. But the choice is made. You just don't know it.

I knew what you meant, but I couldn't think of anymore theories so I had to use your message ;)

Perhaps there is indeed no perhaps, perhaps there is. Who knows.. It's a vision on reality. It's always perhaps until it's proven, untill one want's to prove it again...

yes there are really tons of words after having thought of it to be either true or not true

FACT: maybe, probably,probability of, perhaps, likely to, etc

FALSE: will, definetly, is going to, certainly, etc

how bored are we :)

Just thought of another theory... Need. No one needs stuff. People say they need food. They do, infact, need fod to live but they don't need to live... See where I'm going with this? :)
