Zion Is Not Deystoyed Yet!!!

look. ive been looking at alot of posts and many people think that zion is deystoyed. whoever u are.... YOU ARE FRICKEN WRONG!!!! i wanna set this straight once and for all!! zion was not attacked!! a few ships outside the city were not zion!! zion will b attacked in 24 hours from the end of m2!!!! please do not say thatzion was deystroyed any more!!

Yes, you are right, zion was not DESTROYED. Only 5 ships outside of zion were DESTROYED. I hope that the AIs dont DESTROY zion, cause that would DESTROY my view of the movie. I also hope that the agents don't manage to DESTROY neo, or DESTROY trinity. I am also unhappy that the machines DESTROYED morph's ship.

Yes actually that is what M3 is about. It is about the last 24hours. That is why in the revolutions preview, you hear the Oracle saying, "If you do not defeat him tonite, I fear tomorrow will never come". IT is centered around the last 24hours before the war is over.

If Zion is not destroyed then what were the guys at the end of the movie talking about? If I recall correctly, and piss off if you call me a moron, several people were discussing how a traitor discharged an EMP and disabled Zion's defenses and it was a slaughter. Once the sentinels reached Zion and destroyed it, they kept digging deeper, past Zion and they did not know why. One survivor found, Bane I think, the guy Agent Smith infected.

They were talking about just what you said: someone turned on the EMP early and destroyed all the ships waiting the arrival of the sentinels at the choke point. The sentinels are NOT at Zion yet! And no one is a moron; these are friendly forums to have a friendly discussion on, while using friendly manners :p

yes, why would they not know why the machines were still digging? if they hadn't reached zion, of course they would keep digging lol.

And it's 24 hours before the matrix crashes and everyone in the matrix dies.

ZION IS NOT DESTOYED.

it is 24 hours untill the destruction of all mankind actually. Thats what the architect said. Which i guess means that Zion will be destroyed and now there will be no one to rebuild it because when Neo walked out the door to save Trinity he also led to the system failure of Matrix (which would kill all people currently connected to it).

That is if thearchitect is telling the truth...but he most likely is.

I may be mistaken but towards the end of the movie I recall someone saying that something was destroyed and the only survivor was that dude agent smith took over. I was lead to believe that zion was destroyed. please correct me.

The on survivor (agent smith - infected guy) is from the ships that went out prematurely to try to stop the invasion (or slow it down). Anyways, he triggered the EMp too early and disabled the ships that were sent out, but he is the only one that survived.

but i also recall someone saying that the sentinels have reached zion, i would have to see the movie again to be sure

well i'm pretty sure that they said that it was 24 hours untill its destruction so they may be there but struggling with the defences.

But they said they were digging right above it so they bypassed the defences.....so i'm not sure about what u heard but i know 100% that Zion is still there.

Look Zion fell everyone there is dead i just watched it a 2nd time and came to the same conclusion. When the machines are digging and hit iron ore. it set them back an hour which the head military guy said it will be 9 hours till they reach zion. Then when neo says 24 hours he doesn't know what he is talking about because the architech never sets a time frame he just says it will all be destroyed. so neo had to make a choice either see zion die or his love "trinity" which was different from all the other "ones" whos love was the human race. thats why the all entered the other door. Neo went from trinity there by killing all the people in zion cause they would die anyways. Now Zion is dead because the told us it died when the are talking to the other capitan he says after the first 5 ships were done instantly when the centinalls broke through it wasn't a fight but a slaughter. but keep digging for some reason. maybe another city. i dont' know but the only survior was the guy that was infected by agent smith.

My friend, noone in the movie had said that Zion was destroyed yet. I told you, and everybody else the survivor was from the force sent out by Zion to try and stop the sentinels. Why would Neo not know what he's talking about? Zion is still there.

In the end if you listen carefully, they say Zion is gone. This is the direct quote about the ships: "Somebody, we dont know who, triggered the EMP early. 5 Ships were down instantly." They mean 5 of the many ships waiting in Zion. They didnt say all 5. They said that 5 were down instantly, which means more were shut down after that. And The machines kept diggign through the RUBBLE of the DESTROYED ZION. I watched it 3 times. I know Zion was detroyed.

The hovercrafts were used in a plan where they were sent out to ambush the machines by means of their emp weapon. Someone foiled that plan by firing an EMP burst early on and taking down 5 ships that were within range. The machines could then just advance with ease.

In the trailer for Revolutions, you see commander Jason Lock say that in x hours the machines will breach the dockwalls. Now where would these dockwalls be hmmm? and how would Lock have survived if the machines destroyed all of Zion? hmm?

man, I watched the trailer at the end of M2 twice and all I caught was trinity shooting and jumping and neo and smith fighting, I didn't catch anything else.

is there a place on the net I can watch this thing?

also, I watched the movie again, and yes, I was wrong before.

zion will be destroyed in 24 hours according to the architect, when the matrix will be destroyed he didn't say for some reason. kinda ticks me off actually.

It's just from the trailer of M3, but you can clearly see that someone, don't remember who are operating those robots with guns - which we saw in Zion when Nebukadnesar docked there.

I don't remember the dialogue that well from M2, but I also thought Zion was destroyed, until I saw those pictures. Maybe that is what they try to make us believe.

Yes you noticed that too eh? I'm so looking forward to those mechs. I think it's the Wachowski Brothers' love for japanimation that made them put those robots in there, very cool.

And indeed if Zion was destroyed (which it obviously isn't) there wouldn't be any of those robots running around anymore.

When the machines hit the iron ore this was above the passabe that lock was going to launch his counter attack. I thinck the slaughter was of the ships involved in the counter attack, When they say that they kept on digging does this not mean that the kept digging through the other side of the passage. The battle their, in the passage may have slowed down the machines digging for long enough to put locks estimate of 9 hours up to 24 hours and so Zion would not have been destroyed

ok heres 3 pictures i captured from the actual movie (the one i have on my computer). first one shows zion when they first get back home at the start (to show how it has those bridges) and the second 2 show the sentinels entering that place, first one hard to see but shows the bridges, second one you can obviously see the sent and the bridges below it.

They could have dug themselves in deep down near the bottom of Zion though. Near the machine rooms (where neo talks to the council member). That might be shielded from the rest of Zion with some sort of wall. Which they haven't yet breached. I know I would protect my lifesupport systems with great care, encasing them in some bunker style architecture.

I have doubts Zion is actually *destroyed*.

I wonder why the ships dont have weapons besides the EMPs any ideas?

My guess is that the use of other weapons would probably totally reveal their position, and just turn something bad into something worse. Like peeing in your pants to stay warm on a cold winter night :)

Well every other day we get to read a new members take on Reloaded and it turns out to be something we've already discussed at length in another thread. I don't think it's about being right, it's about having gone through the big discussions already and having formed an opinion. Discussing certain aspects of the movie with others brings insights you didn't even bother to think about before. It's cool really :)
