Yeah, well we don't choose sides, we are in the matrix to survive... I thought of a story around it, like : ''We are against the Zionists and we do not totally agree with 01 (the machines), so we decided to put up our movement, we fight for our selves, while a small fraction of the group get's out of the matrix some periods (the times that they don't play TMO) and start to build some kind of a village to make our own Plug-In-station so we do not need to be on a hovercraft and becuz we are not a total enemy of 01 (we are allies of The Collective, a machinists-clan)... we do not have to fear sentinels... so we can build a city... the Matrix will stay online... etc.''

Well... it's not a complete story but I have to go now, I'll finish it later!!!

i wonder if the game comes out, if you could have your own base/building/castle in the matrix, were we organise our operations.

that would be cool, but a problem when a rival clan, or the machines (agents) attack, because they will know then were the base is.

It is too dangerous to have a base INSIDE the matrix, when you are plugged in, you do what you have/want to do and you plug out again, and you ''wake up'' inside your clan's/guild's/movement's hovercraft or village/city/base

The Lone Gunmen's city is called 001 (If you have any other ideas, I'd like to know!) I'm busy updating the site at this moment, I think it'll be ready this evening... The Lone Gunmen's story will be available also to give more inside-info on the movement!

Yes, there are going to be A.I. characters in the game, there is a number of citizens in the game that are controlled by an A.I. just like the pigeons (in the E3 promo) and A.I. characters driving cars. In fact they are trying to build in as much as important characters as they can (according to the E3 promo) ...I still hope there will be some kind of a training program (possibly in a Dojo, like the 1st movie) what you can play without being on the internet...

BTW: Sorry that the site is still in development (www.cyqu.tk) But I'm realy busy at school for the moment, as soon as I have time I'll start finishing it!

yeah school is a pain in the ass sometimes.

it doesn't matter that you don't got much time because of school, the real good and important stuff you can only put on when the game is out.

mabey you should make a page on the site, were membes can post there own story'of the game. you know make a little background for there character (or how we can say it now 'up coming character' or a fan-art page. now i just wish i knew how to make drawing on a computer that look cool. or at least a program for it)

we do not support a clan... we support a vision, and if you look at it in a relative way you see that A.I. never ment to enslave the human rase, the human agression became the human rase it's own demise. If we didn't poisened the skies in the first place, the machines didn't have to use us as an energy-source. A.I. never intended to take over the planet, they tried to integrate, but the humans discriminating behaviour became it's own apocalypse... A.I. had 2 choices ...stop to exist and die or use it's agressor to survive.

So you are partially right, A.I. has a good name in our movement... as I may quote the reason of A.I.'s procedure :

i would say f*ck the humans let them die, there the startes of the war. the machines wanted peace and there own little place on earth.

but humans of course can't share a planet with a life form, as smart or smarter then they are.

in the game i'll be neutral. helping both sides.
sometimes helping the machines and sometimes helping the humans (zion). but i won't choose a side, even if that means both sides will go after me.

First of all... you better show a little more respect, you only get respect when you give respect, so who's the ''crazy kook'' here?

Second, I've told this for about 4 times now...
We are a movement, yes (wise ass) and we are a group of people that support eachother in our survival, but we all do our own thing, so let me explain it in a more clearer version (mister crazy kook pfff) : We are not a clan (clan is either Zion or Machines) so... the only way of not choosing one of those two sides was, being a movement. We have one goal, yes, but we all do our part of reaching that goal on our own.

when peace has come between the human and machine side, the lone gunmen will then become guardians of peace, so if a small group of one side starts messing around we will go in and give those trouble makers a good beating.

It sounds like an interesting idea because anyone that dare stand in the way would be immediately eliminated.

I have an idea: Someone is walking up to you in the game and they think they can take you out but just as they get close we surround them and they have no way out.

or when they don't expect it draw out a 12 gauce shotgun, and blow off there head

or when a group of lone gunmen incounter, a enemy group. they make them belief there running away. the enemy follows them of course. we lure them in a trap were they are trapped.

on there front the gun weilding lone gunmen and behind them the sword holding and martial arts style lone gunmen. and we go in for the kill. they got now change :)

Apparentely the game will come out everywhere on the same time, at least, that's the rumor, it would make sence because the movies did... and it would be unfair against the other players... I mean, all Americans would have an abillity-code-museum when we finally show up... that's not a real problem, I mean, LGM pulls the sword and they all fade away... ze schijten alle kleuren om het ff in het Nederlands uit te drukken!

don't worry, i don't think it will mean that you are the lowest ranking. it's just because you are the last person that joined, that you are at the bottom

lol you know the reason why i am one of the generals, is because i whas the first one to join (after cyqu and HU).
and i posted quit alot about the lone gunmen :)

it is possible that cyqu will do a ranking system on the site.
generals, captains, luitenants, soldiers ect.
but that doesn't mean much, because we are a movement so were all the same. no one is more special then a other !

I agree with Freddy- the site looks really light. It's such a contrast against the pics, where everything's coming out of darkness. That's your main theme, isn't it? Rising from the destruction, peeking out of the shadows, etc.... Yet the site is white! I just don't get it. Sorry.

Still, it's pretty cool.

It represents Enlightenment, the transformation from Darkness to light, and stuff :).

Maybe we could add a tree, or something, to symbolize our quest for enlightenment (Enlightenment is often referred to as a tree), and to symbolize our longevity...

A combination of things; I'm kind of tall, but not really (5'10"). For a while I'd dyed my hair orange with green roots, so I kind of looked like trees in the fall (not my intention, though).
I also have had a history of, on occasion, accidentally running into trees (I don't run much now :D ) because of not paying attention to where I'm going....

Pretty cool idea... everybody wants to get some serious bullet time and wire fu, but you should probably add hackers to the list too. You might need some ppl to upload ability software where it is needed, and hack the matrix for new abilities. So jacked-in ppl can actually radio down to the hovercraft. Who knows you can see the inventory of ability software that other team members carry...

yeah that sucks, that you can't be in the real world also. just because you can do more in the matrix.

i did read on the matrix online site that hackers are available. you still are in the matrix. but with hacks you can shut down a security station or open a electronic lock. or up-load items at your location.
example up-load (spawn) a car infront of you. or you spawn weapons.

yeah, the hacking is going to rock, as long as it isn't like ETM's "hacking" session. That was about pathetic.

Then I'll be the first to start this thread's next century. Will you have to learn hackers techniques to actually hack or can you just say I need so and so and get it, which I doubt.

You'll have to learn the techniques and codes, but I highly doubt it'll be like real hacking. That could get them into some trouble

Perhaps there will be operators. Although no real world gameplay will be in the game, but (unless I misinterpret this) "Characters in The Matrix Online will be logged into the Matrix and aboard a hovercraft at broadcast depth. Which is a quote from the MxO faq (http://thematrixonline.ubi.com/US/faq.php). Can't link to it directly, but it is faq #04.

About the hacking: on the MxO site a will-there-be-hacking-thread (http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=400102&f=3701006&m=740107701&r=973109421) already started. How you would like to see your hacking in MxO: tagstyle, manipulating objects, ... Hopefully beyond the ETM hacking.

Yes, I plan to.. The story that is there now is more like an introduction to the Lone Gunmen, not really like how they came to be what they are now...

hey cyqu read my 2 story's in the fan fiction section. my first 1 is finished ( matrix dark nights) i'm now busy with part 2 ( birth of the dark knight)

lol yeah, cyqu owns the lone gunmen web-site so he makes the up-dates and puts new stuff on it. but since the game still isn't out there isn't much to put on and to talk about.

and Cyqu is verry busy with school so he doesn't have much time to come on-line here or to work on the site.

hummm if the Lone Gunmen get's the same fate as reborn. then i won't join any clan or group then i will just fight for my self :p

i haven't lost faith in the lone gunmen. but if the same thing happens like at reborn. then after that i won't join any clan or group anymore and just fight for myself.

lol that would be fun. but like i said if 1 clan (that i joined) disapears then i won't join any other clan.

in most games i rather play alone. the only other game that i play and where i am (sort of) in a clan is on delta force 2 (on one of my names that i use there)

Whoa, what happened to Reborn? Just popping in to tell you all I'm still around! Hi fellas! I haven't been keeping up on the Reborn board, but it's interesting to hear that they are disolving. It makes me even happier to be a part of The Lone Gunmen! Yeah!

BTW, glad to hear no one is keeping Reborn together. Did they even make a website?

Reb0rn was created first, but the Lone gunmen quickly came along. The gunmen struck first.

Reb0rn DOES have a website, but I've deleted it from my "favorites" list and, quite frankly, am too lazy to go look the stinking thing up. You'll probably see it on Anonymous's profile or signature.


BTW, Freddy, You belong in the "antisocial bladeswomen" as much as I belong with the "lone gunmen"

Actually, it makes since because the word women has the word men in it, so the Lone Gunmen just means the Lone Gunpeople.

there will be some characters from the movies in matrix online
in the game you can choose out of 3 side's for missions
Zion - Machines - The merovincian
so mabey if you choose mero you get to see the twins (don't know if they will be in the game)

and from what i have heard the game will come out in october (and not in america first (thank god) it will come out in the intire world at the same time) so the americans :p won't get a time advantage of a few weeks or months

All indication shows that the game will ship on October 14th and be in stores for sale on the 15th. I believe it will take a few extra days to get to the netherlands so we have atleast a couple of days head start on ya Freddy. :)
From what i hear there will be many more sides than just 3 there are many groups inside the Matrix that want it to be their own. The one thing that most people do not understand is that to meet these characters from the movies you have to be REALLY good at what you do and that meeting a main character and knowing their wherabouts is something that is prized and something to brag about. I am optimistic in the fact that most people will play the game and be bored with it within a month. (I find myself doing so with most MMORPG's)
I see alot of clans forming within different forum sites and the biggest thing i notice is that since there is not a whole lot known about the game that these people "pledging" theirself to a clan have no idea what their gettin into.
The idea of clans is to have a small group of people that have the same interests. Within the game every action you take may have a greater effect on what faction you are for than most people understand. The advice I would give to most people prematurely starting a clan is to wait untill you have jacked in.... and go from there

well we will see on how the clan/group thing before the game come's out will go.

on mxo site it whas said that it will come out every where at the same day.

It ships to everywhere on the same day..... but think logistics here... if it shpis IN the US on the 14th and will be in stores on the 15th how are they going to get it to the Netherlands OVERNIGHT.... there will be atleast a 1 to 2 day carry over period while it gets sent there.... and the longer I have the game the better my character will be

I have totaly no idea. i haven't seen cyqu here for almost 3 months. me and HU don't have control over the lone gunmen web-site.

and I don't have cyqu's e-mail adres. mabey HU does ?

for now i will keep being a lonegun men. but time will time, in almost all of my games i'm a loner (no clan or group that i fight with/for)

Well UT about Cyqu no body knows where he is at and for this clan freddy told me there might be a good chance that because Cyqu has not come back here for a while that the Lone Gunman could very well be dead. Though I hope that isn't to be and I wish you all the best of luck now that Iam recruiting for The Alpha.

So apart from Cyqu, everyone is here and present correct? Then all they need to do is either appoint HU or FK as being in charge. I don't want to see them fade away either AO. That would be a real shame.

The only thing you can do is to pm him FK, as he has to be the one to give out his email and IM addy. However perhaps he's given it to another member here? If so then wait until they read this thread and please pm each other with the details. ;)

Hey if the lone gunman are still alive I have one question. Have you all found out how to get this clan together in the game. I just got done watching the MxO movie on the revolution DVD and from what I understand is when you fisrt enter the matrix you will be greeted by other people to join a clan and there cause. I myself is still trying to find out, but if you know already please let me know.

to tell the truth, i have no idea.
we don't know if everyone when they enter the game for the first time. spawns at the same place. or if they spawn random around the map

You will be greeted to join a side in the beginning - Man or Machine, or you can stay neutral until you decide. Clans will be easy to find, as communication is global and there's usually 'hot spots' where players hang out in their free time, e.g. bars, clubs, etc.

Yea but it will still be hard as fuck seeing as when you are first greeted you most likely will choose a side then wait. Plus like they said in the game some people will want to hang out, check out the mega city or they might want to get started on a mission and go around looking for fights. So in the long run there are tons of places to hang out in the game so you would still have to look around because the odds of you going to one and finding someone you know is low. Then if you dont find someone after looking around all the hang outs then you would have to look around the whole mega city talking to everyone you meet to see if you know them. That is alot of fucking work to do my friend which is why I will most likely join a clan when I am greeted by one and just hope that someone I know is already in it or will join soon.

Or you could just type "/tell NameOfFriendGoesHere" along with a message, and tell your friend to meet you at a certain spot. Global communication, my friend. As for choosing sides in the war, no one's putting a gun to your head to decide right away. Also, as there will be some people who make ill-informed decisions and will blindly choose a side, there will be ways for you to switch which side you fight for at any time you wish.

Yea most clans have been shut down for a while now, but I am most positive they will be back up and running within a month of the games release date. Then at that time people will be pumped up and ready to find a clan to join, and that way they will know they are all set. Me and Neo's Son have said it before so I don't think you all should worry about the problem at this time.

Me too.. I aint got no school.. Free at last.. But I do have an engineering course once or twice a week for a year starting next week... but other than that... I'm free! :D

All this nonsense about finding a clan before the game starts; is anyone actually looking for one with a mission similar to their own? Or is it just a matter of finding friends who are in a group that will let you in too?
(I'm not saying EVERYONE is this way...)

Thats basically it... You can only do what the game allows you to do... So people are making clans and having friends joining so that they can join together and kick other peoples butts in the game....

i still wonder what happend to Cyqu

I went over and emailed him, and he's still around FK, though I had to track his addy for him to respond over at the site. So perhaps you should try it also.
