Yeah if you like anal.
Revolutions sucked so much ass.
(Please excuse my language - but I have not been this pist since i saw return of the jedi. What is it with Science fiction endings?)
And Speaking of Jedi, when were the ewoks going to walk in? This movie was so reminiscent of crap.
The mystique of the first two movies is annihilated with sappy conclusions. After the first movie, you were interested in this fake world pulled over your eyes, and actually felt an affection toward philosophy and literature. The second movie - although filled with some gratuitous action scenes- continued the story and even had a twist. Come on, don't you still wonder what happened with the 6 programs before Neo...
And then this piece of junk. No...that is not even enough. This piece of ****. Yes, piece of **** that doesnt even deserve to grace the word "revolution." I'll probably hear from more stupidasses that "you couldn't have done any better," my ass. I could have easily created a better ending for the matrix trilogy, it would consist of not making the third movie simultaneously with the second! Why did they do that? Is th at like a new hollywood maxim now? The LOTR series is doing that now (those movies suck big time too), and Kill Bill - it's ****ing annoying. Don't you need a good story to continue a series. And don't you need good characters...hint hint WHAT THE **** HAPPENED TO MORPHEUS??? He was vitalized in the first film, and dropped off in the second, and deleted in the third film. And what about the machines? They decided to make a ****ing pact with the humans at the end? That is believeable (sarcasm you piece of ****.) Or those stupid corny military scenes, where the "commander" gives his speech to rouse his troops - boy is that original...right about when the first military themed movie came out 40 years ago. And what the hell was the point of Niobe. "Some things change, and some things don't" yeah no **** you idiot. Her character had no point at all to the story. And I cannot help but point out how sappy, and dragged out the final battle was. "The purpose of life is too end," once again, no ****. Were they making this up as they went along or something? The meticulousness of the first movie just went straight to ****ing hell. And this probably only proves that I am the better writer, and when I ****ing make a science fiction movie/piece of literature, it will ****ing shut up the stupid masses sucking on the tit of california. You stupid ****s, go to hell.
Yes at this point I am *****ing, because I have never seen such crap. For 4 years after the first matrix came out, it was tabooed and i refused to watch it - for the sake of not joining this stupid psuedo crowd that exists right next to hollywood. BUt i gave in and watched the first, and stuck around to see its conclusion that all satiates people at a local, superficcial level - meaning you are a ****ing blowjob if you like Revolutions. Yes a ****ing blowjob- that movie was awful.
Yeah, it's been done. Stop making new threads for stuff like this.
oh go **** yourself *******.

jacob342 when you make a better movie than the matrix trilogy then you can call yourself a better writer until then i kindly say: shut the hell up there is something called constructive criticism but this isnt it why did you even bother to go see the third movie if you thought the first and second sucked, stop wasting space on the boards for crap like this

You're new here, so I'll explain it for you: insulting other members is not allowed. Have some common sense when you post in a public forum please. Besides, x<N e 0>x just said it was already discussed. There's no need to get aggrevated by it. As a sidenote, before posting we ask you to do a search to see if nothing similar was posted before (and add your reply in an already existing thread).
obviosly jacob doesnt respect anyone hear so he doesnt care about , having another tread on the same subject please jsut delete this one
Jabob, what I want to know is why are u so angry? You act as if the WBs personally slapped your face. You said that you could have done better. Well, what would you have done? Give us an example. Also, what specifically didn't you like about M3. All you basically said was that it sucked. Okay, I must admit the "somethings never change" dialog wore a little thin , but come on. Revolutions had excellent battle scenes with man vs machine, and don't you like the way Neo is portrayed as Christ like? The trilogy gives its audience a lot to think about (theory - real/unreal, philosophy - faith, choice, etc). I love this movie and can't wait for it to come out on DVD.
THESE PEOPLE ARE JUST LIKE GLASS, YOU CAN SEE THROUGH THEM, AND JUST LIKE GLASS THEY SHATTER WHEN STRUCK.
ok..jacob....i think you need to calm down....AND you cant just go around insulting others and ...by the way ...this thread has been done soooooo many times.
First of all, there is a fine line between bravery and stupidity. I think this line was just crossed based on the consideration that this was his FIRST POST. The only way to be more of a n00b is to not have posted at all.
Secondly, while I disagree with the context of the post, and the manner in which it was presented, at least you listed reasons (or what you thought were reasons) for feeling that way. I know it's at least a little better than the people who start threads and say (and we've all seen it) "I didn't like this movie", and thats it. So, for your first post you get one point for at least explaining yourself.... unfortunately you get like minus 3000 through the rest of the thread.
Thirdly, and trust me on this jacob, alot of people take this forum (as they do the movie) very seriously, and a certain level of consideration and tact is EXPECTED of those who choose to join this site.
Now, onto the fact that most of your statements about the movie itself are false. First you said "come on i know youre curious about the other 6"... do your homework, theres only 5.
You talk about morpheus gradually fading out. I will agree with this, but not that he just disappeared. For example:
IN M2: did he not ask a ship to stay behind (without this, all return to zion, we never recieve word from the oracle)? did he not give a speech that probably kept zion from total chaos (it would have been mayhem if commander locke gave that speech)? did he not stop trinity from blowing persephone's brains out (without her, no keymaker)? did he not protect the keymaker from (first the twins, then the twin in the car, and then) an agent (without this, the keymaker gets deleted, neo never reaches the source)? did he not convince the rest at the end to go on the NECESSARY mission? did he not accompany neo to the source's building (helping him again fight off agents, and in essence, saving the keymaker yet again)? did he not provide usual words of wisdom (too many to quote, not getting into it)
IN M3: was he not crucial in rescuing neo (you really think trinity and seraph could have done that alone)? did he not (at the very least) assist niobe (via co-pilot entering her commands) in one of the most important ship rides in the entire trilogy? yes, his part does gradually from m1 to m3 fade, but his destiny was to find the one, which he did, and guide him, which he did. m3 was more about neo himself, his choices, and his understanding. There was nothing morpheus could do to help him with that.
Then you say that niobe was pointless. Well, first of all, if you have played "enter the matrix" it is clearly evident that her role is beyond key. She has to go to the frenchmans mansion also, and if she doesn't, end of story. Also, do we forget that if she hadn't have been in m2 with some kick ass driving, morpheus never gets caught. he hits the freeway and dies; the agent kills the keymaker, and neo (again) never reaches the source. Oh yeah, and without her, they couldn't have pulled off the double power pull at the end of m2 (that seems fairly important). And she gave neo her ship for chirsts sake!!! she says "the oracle told me neo would need my help, and i would choose to either help him or not"... without her ship, neo never reaches the machine city THAT SEEMS IMPORTANT TO ME (there is no way the other captain was gonna give neo his ship). And um.... even though its probably a minute point (that was sarcastic) SHE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO COULD HAVE DROVE THE SHIP IN THOSE PIPES AND MAKE IT TO ZION AND HIT THE EMP)....... without that, neo, and zion, have no chance... shes important...
Then of course you have your personal vandetta against the captain and his speech to his troops.... 1. its a movie and 2. whats he supposed to say? "we're all gonna die. enjoy."??? He is their leader, like a coach. When it comes to gameday, coaches fire up their teams. They don't show up on sunday and sit there mute.
And of course, your sarcastic comment indicating that you believe it is unbelieve that the machines would accept peace. Well, go watch animatrix. They wanted peace in the beginning. Offered it to us several times. it was US that rejeted peace. WE STARTED THE WAR, WE PUSHED THEM AWAY. So perhaps they got better at war than us, it doesn't mean they forgot what they had original envisioned for the future between man and machine. Is it necessarily that plausible because of their ruthlessness? maybe not, but it is certainly not inconcievable that they would accept peace. Plus, they had no choice, smith was a threat to them as well... smack ass.
It appears that you psyched yourself out of this movie (you said you boycotted it in the beginning and only watched to see conclusion). One who expects disapointment, often gets it. Your anger with the "psuedo" as you put it of hollywood and maniacal fans almost prevents you from truly enjoying the movie. With you being a writer, this seems ironic. (seems like somebody has been shunned a time or two and have a small grudge on your shoulder). It is possible that you are not a writer, but a "struggling" writer. But that is not for me to judge, I can only discuss what I know about.
It also strikes me funny that you talk about the "affection for literature and philosy" and "great action, follows story, has some twists", yet you said yourself you were completely against this movie from the beginning. Which is it? Either you appreciate it, or you can't stand it? Don't contradict yourself, especially on this forum N00B. you'll get called on it like a free phone sex line.
Now, onto your "disapointment in this crap"... What you seem to forget is that the W bros didn't make this movie for you, or us, or hollywood. They made it for them. They were sitting around on a couch discussing the horrible state of sci fi cinema, and said "ya know what, lets make some awesome sh*t, some sh*t that WE like". Not what you wanted to see, not what everybody else wanted to see, not what i wanted to see, what THEY wanted to see. It's what THEY wanted, and therefore, I'm happy with that. They refused to budge; to fall victim to commercialism; to change, tune and tweak their vision for the sake of some hollywood critic, or in some bleak attempt to get me to spend more money at the theaters. The artistic integrity of that (especially on a project of this calibur) HAS to be respected... even admired, if you will. And by the way, if we all had the answer, Warner Brothers would have paid US all that money, not them. They didn't pay us to write, direct, produce, edit, or star in this movie. They paid them, and they paid them to do what they wanted to do, and they did, and I love it. It isn't up to us to decide if it was a proper ending, cause it wasn't our story in the first place.
It appears from your lack of accuracy (with your movie facts), it would appear to me that either 1. you've seen m3 or even all of them maybe 1, 2 or 3 times, or 2. you just don't understand it (somebody not seeing niobes relevance baffles the hell out of me). So, take your thoughts, and find somebody willing to listen to a pissed off writer who, in his glory, does not even do his homework before making such a tasteless thread (another thing I find ironic... a writer not doing his research before he puts it on paper [screen, whatever]). you're wrong about everything except your own opinion (which your entitled to), and the way your presented it was about the worst way you could've... nice job on your first post; i can now rest peacefully knowing that no matter WHAT i said the first time i posted, it in no way was the horribly inaccurate tobacle you call an opinion. Enjoy the onslaught.
Oh yeah, and I almost forgot about the whole "why shoot consecutive movies", well for one it's easier for everybody involved; for another they knew they were making 2 more so why not; and last, shooting 2 at same time adds to authenticity and similarity of the movie (clothes don't change, things don't improve, its EXACTLY how you remember it from the previous movie).
And by the way, this topic (as originally stated by whoever) HAS BEEN KILLED TO DEATH IN OTHER THREADS... so let me draw you a map n00b so you don't have this problem again ...(whisper).. CHECK THE THREADS FIRST. THERE IS A SEARCH OPTION.
That is all I have to say about that...
P.S. - The LOTR is a great trilogy you hatin' f*ck; and kill bill ruled a**. Pull the "im gonna knock anything hollywood, commercial, or cleeshay" stick out of your heiny and enjoy something for once.
P.S.S. - don't ever talk to me with 2 posts again.... I might still be partially n00b but jesus christ, that is easily the most tactless, tasteless, misinformed, unsubstanciated first "post/thread" i have ever seen on this site. But of course, like most posts, that is of course, just my opinion.
And in regards to your comment of "i know ill get a bunch of stupida**es that will say 'you couldn't have done better' ", let me say this:
You couldn't have done better.
And if you could (as samantha said), then enlighten us.
Kill Bill was QTs way of testing how horrible he could make a movie and still have people actually praise it. But that's beside the point.
Return of the jedi kicked ass.

I agree, jedi did kick heavy ass.
As for Kill Bill, do you think perhaps after we see the other two, it will make the first one better? (perhaps they'll explain something or tie something in or what not?)
Actually Return of the Jedi was awesome. (WTF are you talking about? Phatom Menace and Attack of the Clones was disappointing.)
No, I was still disappointed with Revolutions. M1 and Reloaded had me all excited and Revolutions put me down dead like a dog.
Lets face it, the scenes were slopped and poorly written, I feel that they wrote Reloaded and spent lots of time, then when they got to Revolutions (both written at once btw) they got lazy and just wrote that part out in a day, then spell checked and was done. So the word "sloppy" explains Revolutions clearly for me.
And no the argument that "You didn't like it because you didn't understand it" is not acceptable. I did understand, very clearly. If I didn't understand I wouldn't have not liked the first 2 movies. There was nothing that needed to be understood in Revolutions, it was straight forward and lacked the mind busting philosophies in the first two. Nothing new.

The argument "didn't understand it" is acceptable. First of all, I listed that as one of TWO options so i wasn't saying "you didn't understand it", I was saying it could be a reason. Secondly, the guy WHO IM TALKING TO said "niobe had no point in the movie"... that is clearly not true, so perhaps, his understanding of her role was inaccurate. Don't defend him, his thread was completely inaccurate and his opinion was inappropriately expressed. and I never said that if he understood it better, he'd like it more. I understand that people fully understand it and still don't like it, i was saying perhaps he didn't understand THE NIOBE THING. Sheesh did you even read my post. And no sh*t they were written at the same time... ALL THREE were written at the same time, before the first one ever got made... and there were plenty of philisophical "things" about this movie, they just aren't as platinly obvious as they were in m1, and therefore require a little more thought and examination. God, you didn't do your homework either. Your post is just as inaccurate as his, only you chose to make your points respectfully as opposed to yelling, screaming, and cussing (which is the outlet he chose)
superman sir ,I salute you sir.
Jacob may I suggest some counciling so you can figure out why you hated revolutions. I praise the wachowski for doing most of it in the real world. The kung fu had already been overdone and Revolutions was a very different movie and refreshing. It was brave of them to do something different. The Zion fight was amazing. I didn't expect to like it that much because it was in the real world but it blew me away more than anything in reloaded. I loved a lot of parts in reloaded that made me say "wow" but nothing that left me speechless like the Zion fight. The ending shocked me. I expected Neo to die to save everyone since he was suppossed represent Jesus but I wasn't prepared for it. The philosphy is a lot deeper than most people think. It's not just Neo represented Jesus just because him dieing for everybody, that was the obvious part but smith being sin(Neo took on sin like Jesus did). Sin is infectious spreading everywhere just like smith.and how the dues ex machina was God because him and Neo/jesus became one. And through Neo the Machina/God was able to save us from smith/sin. And now people have the choice to be free or not because of Neo/Jesus. The matrix represents the world without God. And the real world is the world with God. Its tougher in the real world(but their free) just like its easier to live in sin then to be a christian or follower of God.Trinity left Neo by himself when she died "My God, My God why has thou forsaken me" -Jesus when he was on the cross and had taken on sin.the symbolism is a lot deeper than you might think at first glance.........well I got off my point(which was to insult Jacob). Why am I even trying to convince you that revolutions was a great movie when you obviously didn't care for the first one which is undoubtly the best action movie of all time. And up there as one of the best movies of all time period. The Matrix changed the world of filmaking. You sound like your'e a jealous sci fi writer. "I could do better"= "why do all the boys like her Im just as pretty." Stop being a baby and get off the freaking site.It wouldn't matter how good revolutions was you still would of hated it because you were expecting and wanting to hate it. You got some anger problems and highly over reacting. Why don't you go whack off to relieve some tension
And if we had jacob342 killed *WE'D* be the ones to go to jail.
Anyway we haven't heard from "Jacob" since his first post, I imagine he has disappeared to try and start a suicide cult. Let's hope he is the only one to drink the "magical freedom water".
Perhaps Jacob realizes how wrong he was with his so called "facts" from M3. He is unable to rebut because he didn't even pay attention to the trilogy. I am not knocking him for his opinion, mind you, but he could have chosen a better execution for sharing that opinion.
His stomach is too full to eat his words.
I watched Kill Bill in my place of residence(Taiwan)...the whole Japan episode was spoken in Japanese with Chinese subtitles! I had no idea what was going on!
This, of course, has no relevance in this thread.
That is what I liked most about that particular scene, in the version that showed in Australia we had it completely in Japanese with no subtitles or extra dubbing, it was fantastic.
Its like if you can understand Japanese, fine, if you can't, fine, you will still know what is going on..
guess i need to get me a plane ticket :)
Okay, maybe I was rash..no too severe. But what is this, you need to be a veteran to post something like I did? What are you people nazi's?

Yes, and it says a lot about the man. We already know how the masses think & operate -- we don't need anyone proving the point, nor encouraging it.
You don't further yourself by simply making someone else look bad. This is a simple fact, something we learn as children even. If Tarantino can't produce something worthwhile, why make movies at all? (money money money money)
YOU THINK YOU COULD HAVE DONE BETTER GO AHEAD AND POST YOUR IDEA OF BETTER IN THE FAN FICTION LINK AND LET US DECIDE. My instinct tells me when Sreaph measured your heart's resolve he couldn't find it. STOP TRYING TO RUIN SCI-FI. (it is done)
I remember the first time I saw Reloaded: it was kind of bloated. But remembering the second and third time I saw it, it was so much better and mind provoking. When I saw Revolutions, I kind of felt the same way I felt about Reloaded, just because it was so overwhelming the first time through. The more i saw Revo. though, the more comprehensible and entertaining it was.
I can see why people disliked it though. Some saw it with expectations of what they wanted to be, not for what it was.
See, some people saw Reloaded and for some reason were thoroughly disappointed and got it in their mindset that Revolutions would be just as dissapointing, therefore many missed an amazing experience.
View Full Version : Revolutions ruled!!!
Has anyone watched the trailer for M3 on WWW.Thematrix.com ?? it's so sad............ -
Matrix Explanation
