Zion's progression?

Kung Fu Neo

If Zion has been rebuilt so many times then how is it possible there is so much war equipment in good condition, there are bridges and tunnels and homes -- but wouldnt this have all gone like it did Matrix 3? The bridges collapsed, the roof was breached........

And if Zion needs to be destroyed at all, why have a swarm of squiddies do it instead of launching bombs in there?

For a cool action sequence to raise all these questions?

If Zion is rebuilt every time the Matrix is reloaded, then Zion too is a system of control.

I can't answer your question but just to let you know it's annoyed me heaps to.

well alot can happen in 100 years...technically we don't know how long the previous Zions lasted before destruction...also, we have no idea of knowing what those previous Zion's looked like......maybe it wasn't always in the same place...maybe they didn't have all the technology....maybe they did....and considering it was the One who chooses the few who would rebuild the new Zion's...well its not completely silly to think that perhaps the machines and structures of Zion were provided by the Machine World.

Actually, all Zion's have been in the same place. Check out production photos on the first sight. On the walls you can see estimated dates.

In addition, we do know that one of the Zion's only lasted 72 hrs.... That raises another question: How the hell could a Zion only have been there for 72 hrs for the condition of the Matrix to be threatened? Perhaps it is a biblical reference of Jesus' ressurection 72 hrs after he died.

Perhaps it means Zion only lasted 72 hrs in the war... Who knows...
