Trin's Death

You know, she died once in Reloaded, why did she have to die in Revolutions?

She brought him back to life in m1
He brought her back to life in m2
Since he was going to die there was no since of her living, because her purpose was to fall in love with the one and she did, so her purpose was fulfilled.

She _HAD_ to die... When I first saw REVO it came unexpected and I thought she had died in such a crappy way, but it was necessary. You see.. Would Neo have given his life to destroy Smith if Trinity had still been alive? I don't think so. Now that Trinity had passed away Neo had nothing to lose.

But ya' never know, maybe she didn't die. Anything is possible.

ahow can you be sure that neo died at all all they show is of the machine taking him back to zion, just because smith copied himself into him does not prove his death after all he was still alive enough to destroy the smith copies

Trinity's purpose was to aid Neo on the Path of the One. The whole series revolves heavily on this idea that everything has a purpose, especiall Revolutions. In the first movie, Trinity resurrected Neo, showing him that he was the One. In the second, she entered the matrix so that Neo would be able to get to the source instead of blowing up as soon as he opened the door. In Revolutions, she gave her life litterally taking him to the source when he had no ability to do so(Blindness). Overall, Trinity faithfully selflessly served her purpose and when that purpose was achieved(Neo was taken to 01) she died because her purpose was fulfilled. This is very similar to the programs in the matrix: as long as a program has a purpose, it is allowed to exist; yet, if it doesn't it is removed because it is a waste of memory.

Tada! you've just disproved yourself. Smith copied over Neo. as far as we can tell, he's dead.

it was smith, blah blah blah...how's that possible?

When you get overwritten, as far as we know, you die...unless you're released or unplugged/killed (a la Neo, and the Deus Ex Machina)

but if thats the deal then shouldnt smith now be inside of neo like what he did to bane

Because she fulfilled her purpose. I think her death is what made Neo human again.

I agree with darkavenger000, Trinity was a program, and if a program has no purpose. It's not allowed to exist.

ok...WHOA to the program thing...i'm not gonna get into that, because i'm gonna come out like Mouse, only i'm not goin' down....

so anyway, romulus2801, you have a very valid point there....but did you see what happened to Neo ("real") just after he was overwritten? something happened to him that the D.E.M. did. The Neo/Smith twitched and then all hell broke loose, IMHO, he was "formatted" just like a computer, but there's still a chance htat he was backed up, etc. etc. etc. whatever you wanna believe. All i know is that he was lying face down in the crater when there was nothing but that cat left...

as previously been stated one of the movies strong arguements is that everyone has a purpose to fullfill. like the keymaker for instance. once that persons purpose has been completed...the next logical step is that they disappear/die. but has neo's path truly reached an end? i think that the only way we can know that hes really dead is if we really know that his task has been completed

I doubt Trin's a program. Neo, maybe but not Trin.

im not necessarily saying that trinity is a program, im just talking about the movies morals in general you know? maybe morpheus didnt die like most of us expected because he still needs to lead the people. mifune had to help the kid open the gate...just the philosophy of the movie in general

Still, I don't think Trin should have died! Thats what pissed me off when I saw Revolutions.

it was like fate that trin helped neo so much- i totally agree with whoever said all that about trin leading neo being her purpose.

even though i wish she hadn't died- she became my fave character by the end of reloaded (in the first film she just used to annoy me- i thought she looked like a 'mush-bird'!) i nearly had a brain haemorrhage when she died in reloaded! And in 'rev' it came as such a surprise to me when she died that i cried like a baby and was just like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

whats up with the trinity is a program thing, she is HUMAN !!!

if do believe that neo wound't off given his life, if trinity whas still alive. because he loves here too much. when trin died. he had will too live any more. so he have his live to destroy smith for once and for all !!!

i didn't cry when trinity died (again) i never cry over movies. but i founded it also crappy. she whas talking like she didn't even know there were rods sticking true here stomach, legs and chest. and she kept repeating here self.

I really didn't want Trinity to die that much, I wanted Morphius to die. Trinity was pretty cool because she was an original character from the original Matrix.

ummm...yeah....Seraph27, you totally misunderstood me.
I never ever said that trinity was a program. I said that she was a repetition of the purpose theme was very important to the entire story. The fact that she has a purpose and dies does not prove that she is a program.
